As a neutral the umpiring due to the rules just gets more frustrating, the holding the ball/incorrect disposal is bizarre , you just never know when a players going to get pinned or it’s just play on, it’s like we are starting to reward the less skilful and the second to the ball

I love how these new rules allow the skills of the game to be displayed in all their glory, like the 12-metre chip pass to the uncontested mark. Oh! What a Dusty moment! The way these blokes keep the ball moving with exquisite throws and dropping the ball whenever tackled, the way the umpires help keep the ball moving by not paying clear marks.
