Round 2 - other games

Such a shame that an amazing monumental moment like this was tainted by Brian Taylor commentary. Deserved better

Even when they came back, he said at the end "Sydney win by 40". Ummmm no they didn't Brian. Might need some new batteries in your calculator

Another special thing about Buddy's 1000th is that he will be the last player to do it.

Jack's next on the list but needs 284 to get there. Doubt he'll linger on.
How many Premierships has Buddy won?
Asking for a Richmond legend.

FFS kick straight and the dogs likely win it. Totally dominated that last qtr. Blues kicked 12 in the first half and 4 in the 2nd half with 2 of them coming from frees.

Whats with the blues staging for free's, Throwing themselves forward when tackled, acting like their heads have been torn off to get a high tackle
The dogs are the kings of free kicks. Good to see such poor behaviour unrewarded

Whether they are or not is irrelevant to my post. Blue staging for frees which as you say is poor behaviour but is in fact being rewarded by the umps.
Last week V tiges Obrien and Cerra and on Thurs night V Dogs, O'Brien again, which has lit up social media.

I don’t know how Buddy handled that hysteria so well, so many knobs just wanting to back slap him, pat his head, film him, push him. He clearly doesn’t suffer from claustrophobia.

Sydneys pace around the midfield and willingness to attempt risky kicks inboard to open up the play just cut the Cats to pieces.

Also, by my rough calculations around 10 grand finals since 2000 have had a winning margin of 40pts or more. I think around 7-8 of those teams that lost, didn’t even make finals the following years. Looking at you Dogs…

Bloody hell. This crowd's bigger than in the 80s !!
If I was there I would have headed straight to the canteen. No line up, get your hot chips and coke in record time.
Sure you’ll miss a great football moment, but the chips would be super hot and crunchy.

Your champion data.
The doggies have 24335 midfielders but no one can kick goals.
Not sure what Wallis has done to Beveridge.
He shitss all over Hannah.
Dunkley has become a very average player.
Libba and Hunter haven't got any upside.
And McCrae and Bompt are the only true midfielders in the team.
Treloar is a butcher.
Willy Nelson McNaughton is a gun how did stkilda have 2 picks before Not select him.
It's a bad as us selecting Higgins instead of Allen or Ryan
Smith is a like a young bull, that deserves to play at a real club.
Not sure Footscary are any good period

Good to see Covid protocols were in full action tonight.

Was not Salty a happy chappy when Buddy kicked his 1000th & when the siren finally sounded. Down the other end Tommy Hawkins was sucking his thumb as he has been flogging his body on the paddock for 15 seasons & he has a measly 665 half of them sodas

Channel 7 was deplorable last night. First the view of the actualgoal we were all waiting for was blocked by some woman's head. Honestly, did noone think to make sure the cameras weren't in spots that could be blocked by people standing? And then the on-field post match interview with Buddy that was being broadcast to the crowd was firstly ignored for some boring Richo interview (with Rampe I think it was), then when they finally tuned into the interview, BT just kept banging on over it. Amateur hour

A bit of chaos at the G as the fire alarm went off and the game stopped and the crowd had to start evacuation only to discover it was a false alarm.

It’s well past time BT was tapped on the shoulder and told to hang up the microphone.
