Another game killed
To pay that 50 at that point in the game, regardless of the silly rules is insane.

You couldn’t have love for the game and pay it; the penalty for the infringement is far too severe and has effectively snuffed out the game.

How do they look the other way on everything for the last 5 minutes of the Collonwood prelim. and then pay that crap tonight when they could have just called the player back (like they often do).

Choosing how and when to apply rules is crazy, and for me the game is poorer for it.

Probably the most exciting thing in tonight's game was reminiscing about Ross Lyon being contracted as Saints coach until the end of 2026.

Some players get 3 warnings, others are pinged straight away. What's the rule?
Not sure of the actual rule but it would be common sense for umpires to set the mark. And we all know the AFL/umpires like the common sense rule. It’s sort of like the grey areas of the game that we love so much.

You could look at this season one of two ways:

a) it’s really even or
b) apart from one or two teams, the rest are dog ordinary.

I choose b).

Very ordinary, there are so many turnovers in today's game. Feels a bit like T20 cricket sometimes, the essence and prideof the game is being lost.

Yes. Staging and cheating wins games but in saying that I think the change of umpire boss is a positive

When's the last day we had a field day like the Dogs? 67 points over Freo. Everything worked perfectly. Lobb kicks final goal against his old mob. How ironic.

Funny is that if/when Lobb leaves, #7 can go to Rhylee West like his dad, and West's #14 can go to Sam Darcy like his dad.
