Round 13 - the stuck in traffic games.

Cerra subbed off with hamstring tightness - you think he wouldn’t play next Thursday of a 6 day break

Might even up the free kick count a little.

I saw the game, bit lacklustre really. Don't see the AFL getting great ratings with Essendon playing Friday nights, that game against WCE looks like a real snorefest.

Essendon are us between 2002-2012.
Useless, shiit coaches, Shithouse drafting. Living off the past, X players too much to say.
P.s Sheedy should never wear our colours again. He isn't richmond.

Carlton are much chop either.
Defence is 50-50 especially without Weithering.
No ruckman. We shouldn't play 2 against them we need the extra runner.

The interesting thing about the coaches is that two of them were with us during part of our flag run. Makes a bit
of a mockery of the argument perpetrated by some that Dimma was lucky because he had assistants who were the real brains behind the success.
Shows me two things. Coaching is about having a great coaching team but to be successful you need a great head coach and great assistants don’t necessarily become great head coaches.

I feel like players probably have some impact on a premiership too.

Rutten: Can we have Dustin Martin?
Hardwick: You have Dustin Martin at home.

Whose idea was it to put Essendon on a Friday night? They are 2-10 and play insipid footy
Gilligan would have had a chat with Sheeds n Brasher at the start of the season n figured it would be a great way to honour Essendrugs 150 years of footy.

Plenty of rat cunning old Gilligan. What better way to humiliate Essendrugs than watching them get butt pumped three times in a row on the big Fri night dance floor.

Sheeds hasn’t done Essendon any favours by bringing the drugs saga up again.
To me all it does is perpetuate the victim mentality the club has had and also many of the supporters have. It gives them an excuse for their mediocrity and a diversion from it when what they should be doing is putting it in the past and rebuilding the club.
Sheeds has a street cunning that some people take as intelligence but I reckon underneath it all he is not that smart.
I wonder whether he has gone rogue with this or he did it with the club’s backing?

wholeheartedly agree with this
the Club needs to move on, if they can...
Sheedy has always been a bit loose

I see Rutten gave a less than glowing perspective of Stringer’s game. Probably as much to do with the unfit, underprepared state of his body.

Club is a rabble.

Just as Sheedy used us as a bargaining chip to screw the bombers over for years..... he came back and continues to do it by selling himself as the all seeing, all knowing grand poobah, whilst taking home his rumoured 250-300k ambassadorial coin.
Long may it continue.... fools!

Bet me left nut if they pulled the money he'd head down to the AFL to insist they give him some role.

It's a buy in Sting.
If the entire club doesn't believe and trust each other , the club will be floating in no man's land.
Dimma started to listen to the players, trusting the players strengths. Stop forcing the issue with Griffens or Vickery.
And surrounding himself with people that spread a relaxed and happy environment.
Have a look how relaxed Rutten is on the bench, but it doesn't work without the group believing and trusting.
Skill can take you soo far, belief and trust is endless.
