Why cost a team the game though? They keep 'warning' teams with 666 and no free or 50, and yet something as rare as this comes up costing 4 points.
The mic in the umps ear has been costing us decisions for years, a number of us on here have commented on the noise heard when watching our games. Well under the cover of a roof it has become entirely obvious that the sideline can talk directly to the field.
A number of frees for deliberate that have gone against us where i could hear pay it pay it in the background is now confirmed.
I for one do not like the ear piece and the direct comms to umps.
Coach them during the week not during the game!

we cant pound the AFL for not following their own rules in arc reviews, then expect them not to follow them in other situations.

Instead of costing a team 4 points as we saw today, why can't the AFL supervisor warn a team they've already reached 75 interchanges? AFL and team reconcile both to confirm.
Freo coming on strong right when we didn't need them to. If it's a loss for Djilang then it's because they're undermanned......
This is true, but they don't follow their own rules so often that they open themselves up to this very criticism.
If they always followed their rules there would be no debate about this, but they don't.
