Agree no matter how many times this comes up. Can we say Butler was the same Dimma story as Cumbo??
Higgins may have wanted out but we should have forced the Aints to pay through the nose for him. The players reaction to Higgins after he left said so much.
Done to death at the time, but for whatever reason the market undervalued Butler. It had me completely stumped at the time, he was worth a pick in the 20s all day long. We needed a bidding war but none came. St K were the last man standing, even they ummed and ahhed. I think a lot of sides would look back on it as getting it wrong.
The only reason for it I could come up with was that because our fringe players were underrated, we were underrated as a side.

They were showing footage of some of the coaches in action and Kingsley talking to a presentation featuring the Everest climb. He had a different slant to Dimma (Kingsley was talking about an avalanche). Still I thought it didn’t strike me as impressive rehashing a theme used by your previous employer. He can’t be bereft of ideas already surely
