Round 10: the elevator fart games.

Hard to like Port but even harder to like Melb.

Mouthy after winning 1 premiership.

Butters the new ‘duck Selwood” but overall an unbelievable game. 41 disposals at 78%.

A lot of silly Port mistakes at the end but the umps helped get them home. Good for my punting and tipping.

Comp is super tight is my take away. Ports percentage says they aren’t as good as their W/L but any given day I reckon outside of maybe 5 or 6 teams anyone could win.

Yeah. Tipped them so I’m happy for my tipping.

JHF 12 contested. He is an animal. No wonder we offered 3 picks for him 2 years ago.

Pickett, May, Langdon, Gawn, MacDonald, Fritsch. They do a lot of mouthing off during games.

Port will roll us on the g next week.

Hate them but they have more gears than us at this stage.

I actually think they will give the flag a serious shake

It was a wet track. And it was raining.

How would a two strike ruck side go in those conditions? They'd be disadvantaged. Scott Lycett is mainly a ruck disaster any week. But at least there's only one of him.

A wet track?

Would it be an advantage to have no Charlie Masculine Nose? No Todd Whatsisname? It would and was. How about a little restructure with Burton going forward? That'd be good.

Those of us who think Liam Baker is the best wet tracker in the game may already have factored Zac Mudder Butters but we may have to think again. Butters is a toff in the damp. Dirty Aristocrat.

It was wet. Why can't Ollie Wines get the ball? Because there are much better players around him and they get it. Many of them are from Port. Jason God Francis, Zac "The Earl" Butters and Connor "Run Very Fast" Rozee. Wines does what he can. Pigs bat #4.

Port's weaknesses are not in the midfield. They are everywhere else. Though less pronounced in the damp.

It would be wrong to say that Port couldn't have won with Charlie and Marshall in the side. Because Charlie may have rucked and then Lycett is not a liability. And the truth is that when Ken Hinkley deploys The Bomb Horne Francis he turns games. He's the factor.

Good sides with good coaches will test Horne Francis over the balance of the season. But for now he's the best second-year player I've seen since Dustin Martin.
