Not sure where to put this but I saw Swans have had 4 Rising Star nominations this year. don't know track record of nominations leading to say 10 year careers but they have rebuilt quickly.
such a good game to watch - a step back in time - no unnecessary short passing, free flowing, contested ball & marking...hardness everywhere.I really enjoyed North's win. Fantastic win away against eagles, crowd and ups. Just a reminder of where we sit after losing to the eagles.
For players not on a list this year (AFL careers presumably complete) who debuted while eligibleNot sure where to put this but I saw Swans have had 4 Rising Star nominations this year. don't know track record of nominations leading to say 10 year careers but they have rebuilt quickly.
I guess Adam Simpson must have had one as well. It’s the only logical explanation for their form drop isn’t it Caro?I thought it was all due to Dimma’s affair...
It helps when a non football state gets all of sudden the selection of the best kids in the most populated state in the country. Not sure where to put this but I saw Swans have had 4 Rising Star nominations this year. don't know track record of nominations leading to say 10 year careers but they have rebuilt quickly.
Noble's strategy of putting his best/most experienced players behind the ball (Ziebell, Walker, Tarrant, Hall, McDonald, etc) and his kids in front of the ball is bearing fruit. Smart cookie, that bloke. North will improve quickly. Buying stock.Norths form reversal can be put down to having there backline back up and running.
Tarrant & McDonald have given them a settled fully functioning backline.Noble's strategy of putting his best/most experienced players behind the ball (Ziebell, Walker, Tarrant, Hall, McDonald, etc) and his kids in front of the ball is bearing fruit. Smart cookie, that bloke. North will improve quickly. Buying stock.
not covid, shortest pre season ever along with in juries that has made us nowhere near fit enough for afl .Both teams have seemed to really struggle with the covid disruptions. Obviously we were able to lift last year, but we had to dig deep. Not sure whether it is two big clubs missing the crowds, the disruption to their training routines, impact of cuts to coaches, older players missing families, etc. But there is something in common between us and the eagles (maybe also Collingwood)
they have part of what we have, thats lots of their stars back from long injuries and not at full fitness.Eagles don’t have 9 of their 22 out injured or much of any other excuse. Home game, big crowd, draft tampered talent, great facilities, massive advantage. Figjam club, how crap would you feel being an eagles supporter?
Green was poor again yesterday. He often looks slow and almost disinterested at times. Not sure where he is at.Does Tom Green ever get out of anything but a jog to slow stride ? Just lopes around through the middle of the ground. Slow to push back.
No wonder he’s been dropped twice this year.
