Something very odd about the spontaneous combustion of Richmond and West Coast after quite a high standard match a month ago.
Both teams have seemed to really struggle with the covid disruptions. Obviously we were able to lift last year, but we had to dig deep. Not sure whether it is two big clubs missing the crowds, the disruption to their training routines, impact of cuts to coaches, older players missing families, etc. But there is something in common between us and the eagles (maybe also Collingwood)Something very odd about the spontaneous combustion of Richmond and West Coast after quite a high standard match a month ago.
Yep I think back to Cotch being separated from his sick daughter & the angst that would have caused. I have no idea if that's contributed to any broader issues at Richmond so am loathe to speculate..however I reckon we have no idea what the mental toll is on individuals behind the scenes who are dealing with yet another disrupted covid season. It's an intangible that the viewing public just don't see, all in the name of keeping the $how on the road. Both teams have seemed to really struggle with the covid disruptions. Already posted the same elsewhere a week ago. It's quite weird. How and why do two experienced finals contenders implode, both winner and loser, post that very competitive game? Both have subsequently hit the wall.Something very odd about the spontaneous combustion of Richmond and West Coast after quite a high standard match a month ago.
