I disagree, Brazil chose to bid for and hold the olympics. It is incumbent on them to provide decent facilities. They clearly aren't.

Big money and a hobby for the rich end of town no doubt but I don't know of a drug that can give a rider nerve and balance and the special affinity needed with the horses.

yeah true. I fall off my daughters 18 year old, slow-motion stockhorse, everytime I get on.

although I knew a bloke who got stuck into $2 cocaine in cartegena, colombia. He reckoned it gave him nerve and balance and special affinity with everything. Hes a considered, longtime PRE poster actually. you wouldnt know it. I had to bust him out of jail.

an unhung shower curtain constitutes indecent? It looks pathetic. Its one thing for a multi-millionaire sportsmen to think its a bit rough and not what he's used to, and even quietly check into a hotel at his own expense. Its another thing altogether to tweet things that are below his standards but would be perfectly adequate, even luxury, to the vast majority of people in the world. I wonder what Percy Cerutty (RIP) would think.

the heartening thing is, snake, I went to comment on The Age story on Bogut's privleged moanings (which wernt really reported from that angle), and half a dozen people had already done it.

The USA basketballers are sleeping in a super luxury ocean liner anchored off Rio. The perverse irony is half the kids in the fevelas would have LeBron James tattooes.

Its a pretty messed up. But it adds some entertainment for me, barracking for tiny, poor countries athletes competing in thongs. :hihi

All the drugs and cheats have turned me off.
But I will follow those sports where drugs don't have much - if any - impact.
Such as equestrian and a few others.

The horsey folks must have a red hot marketing person. The royal family founded this event. hardly the bastions of clean-living and level playing fields.

I was serious about the horses on beta blockers.

If you really want drug free, its gotta be rhythmic gymnastics IMO. although some girls smoke a little pot to enhance the wow factor of their ribbon twirls. The rhythmic gymnasts were behind the push to include skateboarding as a sport, apparently.
