Richmond vs Collingwood Rd 20 Gameday Thread

What are McMahons goalkicking stats this year?

The only one I remember is the one we didnt actually want him to kick.
I couldn't believe he lined up from EXACTLY the same position as the winning goal he kicked against Melbourne and he shanked it almost OOTF
Why couldn't he have done that against the Demons and done the whole competition a favour?

Terrible effort all day.

But I gotta dips me lid to Jake King. He smacked Didak, off the ball. Copped some heat and gave away the free. There were three or four Collingwood blokes lines up to ping him off the mark. But he took off after Didak and laid a tackle. He wanted to get him again. Hurt him. And he took off full stick. Nothing half hearted. And had three or four jump all over him. He knew before he got the ball that he was going to get crunched and he took it on.

I don't think Jake King is the answer and I think he is just a AFL player but he has King Kong sizes gonads. And blokes don't want to play on him. He is gone for the rest of the year but his desire is something that needs to be pushed through the group.

Good call. He's as tough as old boots and his attitude and desire are first rate. Geez it'd be good if he was a bit bigger and had a greater skill level.

While firstly I will say that there is nothing too tough about the initial incident with Didak, you have to give him credit for buttering up and taking what was coming in the next few minutes....only to get up and want to go again with anyone who wanted to try.

We all know his limitations, but he leaves everything out there and I do respect him for that.

And for the record how long do the PRE love children Luke McGuane and Daniel Jackson have to get resoundingly beaten before the Richmond faithful on PRE understand that there two aren't up to it?

McGuane has got some frightful hidings the last two weeks. Goodes and Cloke have towelled him up.

Jackson didn't get within the same postcode as Dane Swan today and got flogged last week by all and sundry in a Sydney jumper.

Not up to it. Either of them. They both have big jobs after footy as Butchers.

Both total duds. Try hard but no brains and no skill.

Happy to persist with McGuane (until we trade him to GC) but Jackson. Dumb footballer. JUst dumb.

Jackson's last month has been awful. Maybe longer, starting with a touch up from Judd. He has been a lone hand at winning the hard ball since Foley got injured and Tuck dropped, and looks very sore at the moment.

We are carrying too many blokes who simply don't have the skills for AFL football.

Most clubs have a couple who are a bit shaky but make up for it by going hard at the contest, which Jackson does. We were actually better off when Jackson tagged without winning the footy.

We have 12-14 of these types.

A good example is Tuck - 26 touches today, but you would barely have noticed he was out there.

Wasn't it pleasing to watch Daniel Jackson instinctively use his left foot to find the leading Jack Rievoldt in the 1st Quarter? The result - A Goal !

Delist & trade all players above 26, devise a rebuilding / list management plan, design and build infrastructure for recruiting, remove & replace the current physical conditioning team and appoint a coach who is a leader.

Whoever put together our pre-season program should be the first to go.

We must be the must unfit AFL side in history. 10 minutes was enough for them to be exhausted today.

Reckon that one came off the side of his boot skills.

Me too. The best kick all day by a Richmond player was Jack Riewoldts pass to Nahas running into goal. Amazingly good kick.

The only positive I could find against Coll, and for the last 3 weeks in fact is realism.

After Jade took over we were given some hope and we started to believe that maybe out future is bright.

But in the last 3 weeks we have been as terrible as you could imageine. I am a member and go to the games each week, but for those of you around the world who can't get tot games regularly, you can't believe how bad we are.

The melb game was just a sh!t game all round. Against Syd we were terrible, and couldn't possibly stop Goodes etc. But against Coll it was like a AFL team vs a VFL team. We just weren't in the same league. We are smaller, slower, skillless, clueless, just everything.

As I said at the start, the only positive is that we now know exactly where we are at and won't kid ourselves. We are that far behind most teams and we are going to have 3 or 4 more very dark years.

We basically have to start again. It really hit me against Coll just how bad we are.

At least over the next few years when we get thrashed, we know it won't be about now, but about the future. It will be the only brightness.

Massive get by the Scum getting Dayne Beams to stay and knock back GC. This kid is going to be really good. Not far from elite. This should be the type of footballer we are trying to jag with second and third round picks. Is Dustin Martin in the same mould? Hmmm.

Last year was quite obviously a very strong draft. Still can't believe we only took 2 kids, massive mistake. Good get for the scum though, Beams at #27 wasn't it?

It was special.

He & probably only one other on the list (Chimp) could have thought through it then kicked it on there non-preferred like that.
