Richmond 2017 AFL Premiers

Starting to think I may never see a premiership. Just makes you smile reading the thread title

Yep. It's a magnificent feeling.

The best thing is the security it gives.

We got one. We saw one. That's a great foundation to build on.

Still can't believe we won the flag.

And to smash all of the top 4 sides by 51, 36 and 48 points is even more unbelievable.

Including 2 teams who we have struggled to beat in recent times. Yet, still, people overlook us, think we got lucky, think we will get worked out. There are 3 or 4 teams above us in 2018 premiership betting.

The age profile of our list suggests we should improve again.

Just found this clip of Rex Hunt at the siren. Fantastic.

Classic. Thought old Rexy was gunna pee himself, he was so excited.

What vision. (of Rex!)

What a game.

It so seemed like Adelaide just expected to roll up and win.

We beat Adelaide. We beat them in a Grand Final. We WON the Grand Final.

(I have watched it only a few times since (maybe 7 times...))

You beauty! :clap :hearton ;D :D

Just. Wow.

Can someone help me with my username, which I now obviously need to change.

I joined PRE in 2004, around the same time Wallace was appointed coach. I bought into the spin and was confident that a premiership was around the corner. I laughed at Hawthorn when Wallet chose us over them, and some clown called Clarkson looked pretty unimpressive. Innocuously I chose a usename that befitted the great man and this great appointment.

Well, forgetting the last 13 years, I need to change my username to TigerFlag2017. I have looked to see how I do this but it is not obvious. And apologies in advance if anyone objects to me taking this name.

Average winning margin of 45 point.

Can't remember a more convincing finals series.

Be interesting who's had the highest winning margin in a finals series?
There is an amazing similarity in all the games.

We won the first halves by only a total of 19 points but won the second halves by 116 points.

We kicked 10-6, 10-6 and 10-8 in the second half in the 3 finals with our opponents kicking 3 ,4 and 4 goals.

We wore the opposition down and cashed in when the resistance started to waiver.

yep, I keep telling people that. We did the same thing every Final. Arm wrestle to half time, then take off in the third. I'm sick of people saying teams had bad days against us ( Scott still believes that *smile*) we had a plan, and executed beautifully and made all the other Top 4 side look second rate!

From the moment we smashed freo in round 22 and kept the foot on the throat of the saints the one thing that struck me was the player's fitness levels. To me they were running out the games stronger than ever before. This carried on through each final. Big thumbs up to our fitness and conditioning staff.

I think that you just become so abusive that you get banned from the site, then come back on a few weeks later with a new user name. ;)

The greatest thing about this flag is this. From KB to Caro, from Richo to Jim Jess, from Dusty to Royce, from Benny and Peggy to Trout to.....ME!....WE ALL FEEL THE SAME!! It's a beautiful thing.

Trout represents the club's fans well. He's a good man.

And don't forget the great Mario from Doncaster
