Ha, sorry to let you know I'm paid.
I don't think the club has any obligation to provide info on PRE, but I appreciate that they do. One simple oversight says nothing. I appreciate what you add to this site RFCO.

Appreciate it! And yeah "post everything on PRE" is not a bullet point in my contract I just like doing it.

You and the team have done a great job this year, RFCO. Huge improvement over days gone by.
I was a little surprised and disappointed you didn't post the invite on PRE, but we all make mistakes. Not that it would have made a lick of difference to me, living in Brisbane and all.

Looking forward to further improvement over the trade/draft/pre-season period.
Will you be covering our praccy games again? That was a brilliant initiative and very well received by us RFC tragics.

Think people need to ease up on RFC_O.

So he forgot to post on Pre, big deal, I sure as hell can't be bothered trawling the internet for every richmond related website to post on and I guess the same for RFC.

The club doesn't have to do these evening but do it as a courtesy to the members. I do hope that was a criteria for attending??

Big pat on the back to the club on their massive improvement in social media and even responding to feedback from email.

Ease up ? I haven't seen anyome have a dig, just ask for clarification. I don't think rfco is as precious as you're making out.

RFC Official.. For future reference.. don't get defensive when you have obviously stuffed up.. it doesn't do you any favours. Just apologise and leave it at that.

I assume you get paid by the club to run their social media? If this is the case, you need to go on some communications training.

If on the other hand you are a volunteer, I apologise, ignore all of the above.

Patronising twaddle

If scribbles/deliberate is all you've got then you're in trouble.

LOL volunteer or paid doesn't matter. He's trying to keep in touch with 3 forums, plus fb, plus twitter. The footy club doesn't have to do this but they do. So, he forgot once. Who cares? They have run more than one of these nights anyway i believe and am sure they would be running one again.

Keep up the good work RFC_O.

Also hoping u do the pre-season games again. Great initiative and i know other clubs supporters were very impressed/envious of us.

Must admit, I'm a bit surprised by this type of reaction.

Why?

We are a Richmond focussed supporters website with a history of members who contribute to the club. As you know, I don't live in Victoria, and apart from the media rely on PRE for all my club info.

I'd have thought PRE might have been on a mailing list for these kind of events as it helps to get the info out to people like myself.

On the contrary, I would have thought it would be appropriate for the RFC official to swear like a trooper, become extremely defensive and aggressive at the drop of a hat, threaten others, and become involved in all kinds of petty disputes and constantly trip over himself. Then and only then will we know that he or she is a true tiger reenacting the history of our great club ;D Get up 'em RFC Official

l have been impressed with the club online this year and you should get a lot of the credit stig.Just remember you cannot please all of the people all of the time so don't try to.

Like you Streaker I am surprised PRE wasn't on the at least a list of two or three, rather than omitted from a list of one - no biggie for me, but perhaps it does say more about a belief that twitter is more the be-all-and-end-all when still for the majority of people is barely or rarely relevant.

Couldn't even say how broad the church is here compared to other web options, but agree the contributions made by PRE warrant being on the short list for most this called "fan" or "supporter".

And I do really like your work RFCO.

I can understand forgetfullness if it was a one off post advertising the night. But when mutiple posts are made reminding people register happens, then its a bit tougher to accept the "I forgot" explanation.

But the club has improved by a massive amount over the course of the year in social interaction which is great, but its also a risk to the club because reactions are a lot quicker and often nastier through this medium. The key is consistency of message and delivery channels. Pick them, let people know what the delivery channels are and use them exclusively.

But I'm sure RFCO knows more about this than I do.
