Maybe try Houli for that award, clearly his worst game for well over a year.

12 Kicks 12 Handballs 3 Marks 4 Tackles. Good night out for someone running back into form.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

nitpicking if folk think Chestnut was no good or a weak link. 2nd in tackles made for a start...

2nd most pressure acts for the team. Played his role.

Incorrect. Conca and Graham do alot of the heavy lifting dirty scrapping that doesn't get noticed but are important to our setup.

And on the tellie they get called out as different people; the number of times Graham was reported as being Prestia was laughable, I think Conca was Higgins at least once too. How much do those muppets get paid to 'call a game' again...?

Bloody oath incorrect. If any young student is looking for an example of incorrect, this is an exemplar. Thought concs was good at the ground, but watching the replay he was solid as a rock. Heaps of moves in the clinches I missed, both with the ball and physically supporting team mates. Great stuff.

Finally. That's good to hear.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

More than anyone, I hope Reece ends up with a Premiership medal this year. He has toiled loyally for years, despite numerous injury set backs. He's earned the right to play for one - I hope he gets there.

I said to a Tiger fan last week that we are like an engine, a lot of unheralded parts but remove some of them (as they aren't that great by themselves) and the engine stops working. The sum of the parts is greater than the individual parts of the engine.

Heard today freo have offered him 3 years.

He’s been in Melbourne so long I doubt the Perth connection would warrant him switching from THE 1st CHOICE club to a bottom 6 (and falling ) club.

Plus, he’s getting picked and probably paid well.

I’m sure conca stays.

Wouldn’t swap him for Heppell.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

I am sure he stays as well but if he goes - he is a top draft pick 6, 100 gamer so entering his prime, excellent club man, not to old and hopefully a premiership player - so that has to be worth something a little special you’d think

All of that says

‘why the hell would he then go, unless he’s getting a north melbourne style big fish offer?’

If he gets offered 9 mill over 7 years .... of course he goes.
I’d barrack for Carlton if I was offered that money.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

With the whispers of who will not be getting new contracts , Conca is the only one who I’d like too stay, Stengle an Soldo happy to keep but not priorities
