Overheard him say to someone at the ground yesterday it would be 3-4 weeks. Was in sneakers but still a very slight limp.
That’s good news, bit of a worry with his hammy history coming back from another leg injury, as long as he gets back fit he will at least be good for the VFL team, still think he’ll be handy for the main team in the heat of September

i dont think it is good news, in the short-term, for his AFL prospects. 4 weeks give him 2 VFL games before the AFL finals start. i think he would need at 3 or 4 games in the VFL, going off his history of soft tissue injuries, and his form back from a break. adding in the likelihood of the VFL side getting a break in the 2nd week of finals he would be looking at an AFL return prelim or GF week, which would be a big risk. it would be a big pity of injury costs him a 2nd premiership medallion.

Be a good news story for sure - 1 coz we got there and 2 for Reece on the basis he was back to playing his best 2018 footy

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

He would have to come in via the VFL surely. He was deserving of his spot but Prestia coming in and Jack G coming back, Reece would have to be a borderline selection

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

he probably will need an injury to a midfielder to come back in

depth for lambert, cotch, dusty, higgins, prestia, graham

Get Ellis out and bring in conca at least he has balls

He's italian, those balls are what gives him that low centre of gravity.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

Reece, Jacky G, and Butler and Basha, possibly Towner all outside looking to come back in.

Its going to get ruthless from here.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

Good news for Conca. Probably another week away from competitive football.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

Incredible that he'll be back playing this week. If he can force his way back into the 22 after that injury it would be a great comeback story. Is already really.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

He'll be pushing as hard as he can to get back in the side. Whether he can is another thing of course. If he can pick up where he left off, which is no small thing, he'll be back in.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

My biggest worry with Concas comeback is the possibility of soft tissue injuries , so often players coming back from knees and ankles ping a hammy or twinge a calf, hopefully the body holds together for him

It happened in that 2013 final. Cost us badly in the end with a rotation down virtually the whole game. Not saying we would have won the game but it certainly didn't help.
