Reece Conca - so long and thanks for all the fish

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

Here's hoping for a full recovery. Reece has shown he can cope with adversity, I know all the boys will give him their support in trying times. Well done to them all for displaying their affection.
Shout out to Gary Rohan for his actions as well. He certainly can have some empathy for Reece.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

at only 25, and if no serious complications deserves a spot on the 2019 list. recover and go again.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

gutted for him. everyone getting around him was another great way this club is defining itself and it made me proud to be a supporter. don't think i've seen anything like it before on a footy field.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

Artball the club needs to be applauded on so many levels these past 18 months.

Gone from also rans, laughing stock to the Best that other teams are trying to aspire, mimmick and copy.

The Conca love.
The Higgins huddle
The Rioli plant on Concas head
Astbury staying by his side ( was his best man )

Whoever engineered this deserves massive massive plaudits.

Well done Rowan.

This deserves a seperate thread.

Likewise. Never happened from my memory. Even that Swan player. Great to see it happen.
Wish Conca a speedy recovery

Not going after you, but how can a disclocated bone in your body be construed as 'not bad as first thought'
I don't understand that comment John Ralph said it multiple times last night.
That's a bad injury, career ending injury. Just ask Nathan Brown.

Pretty sure Nathan Brown broke his fibula and tibia and needed a rod inserted. Horrific injury. If Reece's is a dislocation he can count his lucky stars. Fingers crossed that this is all it is. Will stil be a whileout of the game regardles.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

That was gut wrenching watching Reece go down on his 100th game.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

Vic Park lads dont cry. He will be be back the sooner the better.

Re: Reece "The Centurion" Conca

I don't understand how Corey Ellis is a replacement for Reece, he is not like for like certainly not at senior AFL level.

Higlett is better suited, that allows Basha to return to The defensive 7.

Conca is hard as a cats head and wins contested footy Corey is the opposite at senior level is reactive is slower than Reece and doesn't attack, opponents like Reece, nor does he cover the ground at senior level.

I'm not buying Corey Ellis right now I dont trust him, at senior level he's been nowhere near it when he's been on the big stage previously.

Hard at it bullocking inside mid, not at afl level he isn't, that's what Reece is.

I'd rather see higlet in the middle he hasn't looked out of place in there.

Will allow Bash to slot back in.

Dimma pretty much said in his presser that Higgins will from next week get more midfield time now with Reece going down

The Crows will spend all week at training kissing each other whilst listening to "oh we're from tiger land" now book mark it

The Tigers are Rod Tidwell and Jerry McGuire everyone else is Bob Sugar and Troy Aikman

It's a dislocation, no break :clap

dont want to be a downer, but I understand ankle dislocations can be worse than breaks?

can really mess up all the ligs and tendons.

be interested to hear from our PRE medicos?

Either way, still plenty of time for Reecy to get the premiership medal he deserves.
