Reece Conca - so long and thanks for all the fish

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

I called his game awful last week but this week he was awesome. Just kept going all night and improved in intensity. Hope he manages to improve on a few aspects of his game and he will play an important part in building towards something special. (hopefully)

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Backed up his BOG performance last week with another great game this week.

He's becoming quite the player.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Love his work. Is becoming a great player. One of my favourites

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

He's a beauty but the one area he lets himself down is his goal kicking. Needs improvement.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

is going to be a genuine A grade midfielder in the next few years, maybe as early as next year.....super hard at it...tough kid...when he gets a bit more composure wich will come with experiencelook out!!

our midfield is already scarily good let alone with a fit foley and a match hardenned knights.....exciting times ahead

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

He wasn't as good as against the Aints, but he has become another midfield weapon. Commentators are starting to notice it, too.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Needs to kick on his left when he has the chance, too often looks to turn onto his right and then slows momentum or gets caught.

Best tackler at the club by a country mile

You're kidding. He is solid but gives away a lot of free kicks.
Matty Dea and Trent Cotchin are elite. No one gets past either of them and when they tackle they hurt guys.

Not so sure after he let Cooney brush him off for a goal. Soft tackle if ever I have seen one. The best tacklers don't miss those.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Another very good game. He is tough with a Capital T. Remember he is yet to complete one full pre-season.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Conca is much more spritely and nimble this year. Nippier and getting some real air when he flies. Just a third year player. :)

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

I have had Conca in our best 3 in three of the four games so far this year (PREmier award as voted on PRE).

Isn't it great to see him stepping up and becoming a great player for us.

Keep going Reece, love your work.

Yep, I gave him my 3 votes....thought he used it well and tackled well.

Re: Reece "Squirrel" Conca

Didn't notice it myself but ABC radio (Stan Alves?) was pretty scathing of him after the game. Mentioned things like attempts to kick mid-air and one handed efforts.

Great to see him progressing consistently this season. Will only be a matter of time before he polishes his skills more.
