Possible State League Recruits 2012 drafts

Deano Towers got another write-up in the Herald Sun again today. After winning multiple accolades in the VFL this year I hope we have a look at him in the rookie draft!

Travis Tuck

Should we take Tuckys younger brother who seems to be doing well in the VFL to eventually replace his elder brother?

I am biased as I am a huge Claremont fan, but I really hope we are looking at Kane Mitchell.

A little on the small side, but great used of the footy who finds it all day. Inside mid who hs that explosiveness when released.

Would be a great and cheap insurance for Nathan Foley, who we missed badly when he was out injured this year.

Interesting, any thoughts on Jesse Hogan, Streaker?

Jaye Bowden- Glenorchy (TSL), 21 games 54 goals named in the best in every game. Runners-up league best & fairest.

Bit like Issac Smith. Worth a rookie shot.

He is a big boy for his age, only 17 years old and around the 194cm, 90 kg mark. Really, really good in the air, but still a bit of development to do when the ball is on the ground, especially when playing as a forward.

Not up for this year's draft I believe, too young. Can only go in the mini-draft?

Looks a very good prospect, but my only concern would be whether he has much development left in him. Could be another Glen Jakovich, but could also be another Anthony Banik.

He's a talent. How many kids at his age can take a grab 3rd in line? He's very competitive as well. Who ever gets him (I'm assuming that GC, Dees or Dogs are doing what they can between Martin and Hogan) get a huge bonus.

Was a bit of talk this week that Josh Kelly may be one of the picks. Could well be Martin that misses.

Yep, mini draft prospect but his size at 17 is unique and I get the feeling he moves pretty well, if theres any growth left in him you'd be lookn at a 195cm , 100 kegger.

KP types of this size are rare & one wonders is it worth the risk,if his hand eye coordination is above average then he could be a nice pick through the mini.

Kelly is a ripping youngster. I'm hearing that both the Demons and Bulldogs are very keen on Martin so I would be surprised if he is overlooked but I can certainly understand some genuine interest if Kelly.

Tom Lee kicked 6 goals yesterday. While a couple of them were late goals he has put his hand up at the right time.

It's the Beau Wilkes V2.

I couldn't understand why St Kilda didn't play Wilkes ahead of Kosi this year. I think they will next year. We need a third forward. Next year Griffiths and Elton should be pushing for that Brad Miller third tall. I wouldn't mind Lee being in that mix.

I guess with his mobility he could also move to the back line. I'm not convinced he can make the transition but he's had his best ever season and he has the size and mobility that clubs value. He should land somewhere.

Could well be instead of Hogan then. I still think Martin/Hogan are probably the best 2 but I'm a bit suspect on Hogan's goalkicking routine.
