Political correctness & other nonsensical rubbish

Its actually rating quite well these days, with numbers on the rise.
Only because it's live.

Once Sam goes, it'll be done and dusted. He's the only one that attracts viewers just like Gordon F...... Ramsay is.

Whats it being live got to do with anything? "Live and Kicking" was live, and you couldn't pay people to watch that dribble.

One thing I love about this is the number of critics for Sam's performance coming from NSW (including within 9). Anyone who watches the NRL Footy Show knows how they treat women! I still remember once several years about they interviewed Melinda Gainsford, and basically spent the entire segment saying how good a sort she was :cutelaugh

People are more attracted to live shows because you don't know what's going to happen.

The Footy Show's one of a few nowadays.

Instant karma - Sam Newman in hospital tonight with a broken ankle. Apparently an accident in his home gym. :hihi

I can't believe this is still going. Wilson accepted lyons apology and has moved on. Granted, newman hasn't apologised, at least not publically. I am amazed that programs on other networks, and newspapers, are still 'outraged' at this, 3 weeks after the event. Outraged enough to repeatedly show the offending footage, over and over.
Whether you like newman or not, he had a valid point. He takes the *smile* out of everyone, whether it's in good taste or not. As he said, why isn't anyone outraged at his antics with dunstall, calling him an ape? If he made that comment at a woman, all hell would break loose. Yet, the media is strangely silent about this.
Yes, he steps over the line at times, quite a few times, but that is also what makes TFS rate. Not excusing it or him, just a fact. Caro was offended, rightly so. She seems to be over itn, why doesn't everyone else who it didn't personally concern, that is, EVERYONE else, let it go? I guess other parties have vested interests in making sure their agenda is noted ::)

A couple of very practical things that people can do about this are:

1. stop watching the show. If you don't like it, turn it off.

2. Don't buy from the businesses that advertise during the show and make sure you let them know why.

Everyone is offended these days with petty rubbish:

UK soldier sues over 'Paris' nickname
Thursday, 1 May, 2008
Soldier Kerry Hylton objected to being nicknamed after celebrity heiress Paris Hilton.
British soldier Kerry Hylton is suing the army because of the embarrassing nickname given to him by fellow troops.
Mr Hylton claims he has been "demeaned" by the nickname "Paris", after the notorious blonde American socialite and Hilton hotel empire heiress.
He is suing for race discrimination, alleging that his fellow soldiers ignored orders to stop calling him Paris.
The Daily Express newspaper reports that Hylton, a chef with the Welsh Guards, finds the nickname offensive because he considers Paris Hilton "a white woman with a low reputation".
The Jamaica-born 33-year-old also alleged he was called several racist names at his barracks in London.
An employment tribunal in London is expected to hear his case next month.

He's not the only one Freezer.
First we have schools trying to dictate what kids are (or aren't) allowed to eat at school even when the parents pack the lunches themselves....now we have the schools trying to dictate what kids watch on TV at home:

Principal has Ramsay on toast
May 04, 2008 12:00am
EXCLUSIVE: A MELBOURNE principal has ordered her pupils' parents to switch off foul-mouthed TV chef Gordon Ramsay.
At a special school assembly, Flemington Primary School head Lesley McCarthy directed parents of pupils in years 3 to 6 to make Ramsay off-limits.
And she was backed by Victorian Principals Association president Fred Ackerman. He labelled Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares show "abhorrent".
The blackout was demanded as details emerged of a federal plan for permanent on-screen warnings of bad language, nudity and violence.
Ms McCarthy said bad language in the playground had increased since Ramsay's show became a hit.
"It's a real issue and, as a principal, it's been a really big concern," Ms McCarthy said.
"If the children see one of their heroes in the media swearing, then they think it's OK. It's the same thing with our football stars."
Ms McCarthy said western suburbs principals raised their worries about Ramsay's foul mouth at regional meetings, but Flemington was first to take action

I highlighted one bit here...when is a chef known to be a hero of a child? ???
Are these people for real?

Why don't the schools worry about teaching kids maths, english, science, and geography so we don't have to tolerate inept rubbish like this:

misspelledAP0609_468x311.jpg

....and leave the lunches and TV programs kids watch at home to the parents?
It's simply none of their business.

The Catholic Church has come out today on this, with the mob from Adelaide wanting it off the air.

I'm glad they are running with this, because Catholic priests are such reputed men of good moral fibre ::)

These guys should find a hole and hide in it for ten years, and thats only after they finish apologising for the all crap they allowed their priests to get up to over the years

that sign is a school teacher's fault, is it?

Ramsay is ok for the kids at the moment
Lets turn this into a fish and chip shop, lets do a simple grill.
Time to worry about the kids when Gordo turns a restaurant into a girlie bar
