Pick 63, 2017 Ben Miller - Welcome to Tigerland.

I reckon and hope he keeps no. 28 as it's never been recognised as a famous number for us. Maybe Pushup the latest.
Pushup, Mark Merenda started in it , Peter Czerkaski , Kayne Johnston wore it when he came over from Adelaide iirc.

I'd say the Strangs Doug and Geoff are the most historically revered wearers of the Tigers #28 guernsey

So prefer him to Soldo. The biggest Swiss Army knife I‘ve seen.

Push Up and Johnno maybe. Merenda was 8. No-one's worn it for 100 games.

What a game from the big man - he looks so comfortable rucking number 2 - gives us good balance and we look much faster as a team with him in.

Can play defence and forward.

Yep adds way more than Soldo.

Miller - ruck work - pretty good
Miller - 2nd efforts in the contest - excellent
Miller - Can move forward and back when not in the ruck - flexibility is immense

If Miller finishes this year strong in the ruck, if we are confident in Ryan, then maybe Soldo will be used as trade bait to help us get some of our trade targets

Tigers are going to be in a more formidable situation in regard to talls next season.

Soldo will bounce back after his full year post ACL and a full pre season, Sambo will have grown more and improved more come 2023 and Miller has already stepped up to fill an important role, and Jacob Bauer will also be an exciting proposition after a full pre season.

Then there is the human block of flats in Mate with some serious work put into him over the summer.

And the other Balta we have interest in, Biggie and even a youngster such as Tyler Young or another junior key forward in the draft.

That's just it. He would've been remembered as the no. 28 instead of so many no. 8 wearers.

Pickett also making the no. 50 a good memory.
That's one way to look at it. You might like someone wearing 99 or 00. I like proper footy numbers. They don't have to be low - 30, 35 and 44 for example are proper footy numbers. So's 28, it's just meh.

That number 13's gotta be checked, cleaned, disinfected, exorcised before the next player wears it. We need to call Phil Egan to do that.

Ben has made a Great Leap Forward over the last six weeks. Along with Cumberland, MRJ and Sonsie he now seems assured of automatic selection until the end of the season.
All have speed and all have disposal.

With last years draftees also in place who will develop, with the same sort of skills, can’t see any reason why this mould should be broken.
