Jacky boy was more banged up than most 24 year olds when he was 18. Has copped more than his fair share of injuries.

When Graham broke into the team in 2017, it was on the back of 5 or 6 games in the VFL. He was injured upon arrival at the club and played his first VFL game mid-season. He immediately racked up 30+ touches a game in the VFL. He was then used as a role player in his AFL games. Tackling, pressure, two-way running, defensive wingman, high half forward, link man, etc etc.
He has never been allowed to play his natural game, which, in all likelihood, is accumulating possessions. I have no doubt that is what he would be at another club. Richmond don’t really rate the sideways game much.
Part-time mid. Numbers show it. Gets credit for playing with some horrible injuries and has done some heroic things but you have to aks how much improvement has he got left in him? Not much is my guess. Could Jack Ross do everything he does with ball in hand? Defintely. Defensively is the loss and us nuffies can't go the try picture of what he does without knowing the gameplan.
But the body has taken a battering, you would be trading him at a high. If we move him, I understand. If he stays, that's fine as well.
Just heard Jack R speak strongly that it would be terrible if he left us and has huge doubt this would happen.
His kicking is not bad buti never thought he was damaging by foot and by 25 years of age usually get a good indication of his ability and value. Will Brodie could always accumulate ball unlike Bowes and Brodie only played 25 games in 5 years where Bowes was played in over 70 games and was given ample chances and currently has 83 games
Taranto can accumulate 30 touches a game and be damaging,
Would anybody actually be interested in Bowes if not the pick #7 coming with him ?

For North , Hawks , Bombers probably a good salary dump but for Richmond unless we can off load

Bowes is steak knives, a new paradigm with these salary cap dumps, if he bombs, he bombs, not much collateral damage apart from cap space. Pick 7 will be gold this year, it's a free kick for Clarke if he can wrangle a deal. Maybe we can't do it but if I'm Bowes I would want Richmond.
I get that but a $1.6 million hit to the cap is huge unless we can off load the equivalent value of players we dont need

Soldo - same value
$700k-$750k off
Bowes $800k in
That i would be ok with
But it wont be a straight out pick #7 , They will want something decent going back

Not really a midfielder. Although he has the passion and the speed in a straight line, he lacks the agility to match it with the better players who he would have to nullify.
If he stays maybe a lesser player like George has the skills necessary to make it in that role.

Not a real lot wrong with getting the pill sideways at times if you're in and under the coal face getting the pill sideways into space to the likes of Dusty, Shai, Shedda either.
I don't want crows but i thought this guy was a bust? Has he really improved that much this yr? Genuine question as i've not paid attention to him at all.
Had some good moments this year, I'm guessing played about 15 games but in the right age bracket to replace riewoldt for the next 7 years
He's a lovely kick and has a great leap but is one paced and gets lost for big chunks of games
I reckon he would benefit from being in a better team with better players around him

2021 - 17 games - 24 goals - 1.4 goals a game
2022 - 17 games - 33 goals - 2 goals a game. A bit of an improvement.
In 2022, he started with just 2 goals in the first 5 games, then in the last 12 games - 31 goals, 2.5 goals a game. An improvement again from the first 5 games.
The last three games he went 4, 4 and 3. 11 goals avg of 3.7.
From the eye test I heard those rumours about a month ago, I thought he looked like a very good player. Similar to the growth in Cumberland once he started playing seniors for us.
But at 193cm, 94 kg he's just 2 cm shorter than Riewoldt. And Fogarty is just 23 tomorrow - Sunday - so happy birthday mate
