Classic. ... Geelong supporters labelling Dustin a show pony when the bloke they're defending is up there with the biggest self promoting wankers of all time... His presidency of the PA is about him and his public profile and what goes on his CV as he pursues further spoils post career.

I loved Jack on 360 when he diplomatically said he copped what he deserved when Whatley was questioning if he felt sorry for Dangerfield. ..... "Actually I feel sorry for Jake Kelly!"...

Indeed. Well put.

Players get hurt around Dangerfield because he is a pretend tough guy. He does these sorts of things because he thinks he should, because that's what tough players do. And so it is executed late and poorly.

One of the many ways in which he is inauthentic - a pretend great, aided and abetted by a sycophantic media and fanbois. Yes, he's a Brownlow medalist but he's no champion and no leader in my book (and I think now in the eyes of many).

At last the AFL are showing signs that even their favoured sons are not immune from the tribunal's views. Still a number of others who getaway with foul play time and again

I hate Flopperfield as much as the next bloke but I think 3 weeks is harsh for this specific incident. To me, the Vlastuin one was worse. Reckless elbow to the head versus a head clash as a result of a body collision. I think he should have got 2 weeks for the elbow action in the GF and this one was worth one week. So, in aggregate, he deserves 3 weeks!

He hasn't changed. My favourite Dangerfield moment. Gets smashed in a tackle by Lynch. Get's all narky and sees a chance to take Lynch out. Lynch sees it and smashes Dangerfield back down, and then down again for laughs.

Melee starts, Dangerfield scurries away as quick as possible. Lynch was 22yo at the time.

And Lynchy doesn’t forget. Sits him square on his arse in the 2019 PF when Prestia puts through the sealer.

Dangerfield's counsel, called on Apple's virtual assistant 'Siri' to provide a definition of severe, which he relayed to the jury as "very great or intense", disputing that the head clash fitted that definition.

you can’t make this *smile* up.

Jack Riewoldt nailed it tonight on 360.

Everyone is talking about Dangerflop but what about poor Kelly who got knocked out and ended up with a broken nose.

Jack has zero sympathy for Dangerflop

That’s how Danger is, though. It’s all about me.
yep, and the media keep feeding his ego. it was great to see Jacks attitude.
what's amazing is each time you see the incident it gets worse! DangerElbow went for the bloke and got him ..

His time clock for being a winning Premiership Player is running out of battery . Might have to strike a Medal called the Buckley/Dangerfield Clanger.

Riewodlt was the only current player to go against the grain and say that Dangerfield deserves a suspension.
By the looks of it, there's no love lost between us and Geelong.
Good on Jack. *smile* him

Jeez I’m no Clanger fan but the pile in here is a little embarrassing. Perhaps more embarrassing than his defence on this charge. I mean he bumped a guy and clashed heads, I’m not sure he aimed to butt heads. He got his fair whack. He’s still a great player who’d get a spot in our 22.

Wouldn’t be a player that we went out and chased.
Don’t think he has the Richmond Man attitude.
We don’t play for frees and we play 4 quarter pressure football. Something he knows nothing about. Had to get him young and trained up. Can’t change him now as he plays for himself with arrogance and false aggression.
Reminds me a bit of Lids in some ways. All the skill in the world but very introspective

Disagree but we’ll never know hey?
False aggression? Never seen him shirk a contest. He hits with speed and aggression in general. Ultimately he’s failed at the key moments, there’s huge expectations on him and he’s probably tried too hard to do too much at times rather than the team thing. I’m sure he could be retrained!
