Little bit of a shock to Storm supporters,

It looks like a favourite son, Dallas Johnstone might be leaving the club early,( now)

He still has a year left on his contract, but he could be heading to France on a mutual aggreement,

Salary cap issues for the club and Dallas is keen to travel.

With the Storm already having signed Parra lock Lowrie, which was a little bit of a puzzling signing initially for Storm supporters, you would think this has been kept quiet for a while now.

Seems to make sense now,Dallas will be a great loss but you can't begrudge him going overseas & collecting his super.

No other side is losing players to the salary cap like Melbourne .... victims of own success.

Or maybe the Anti Victorian NRL has shafted the Storm and has given em 2/3rds of the salary cap that other clubs have and just hasnt told me thats the case. ;D ;D

Inglis, Smith and Billy alone will chew up a massive amount of the salary cap, likes of Hoffman and Blair wouldnt be cheap either.

Great servant and tireless workhorse for Storm and Qld has been Dallas Johnstone.

Did Lima re sign with melbourne or has he left , iirc he was rumored to be leaving wasnt he.

Speculation up here is that Johnston going o/s would leave enough cap space for Tiger target Lima to stay @ Melbourne , his 1st preference.

Eels hooker Kingston has signed with Penrith.

Word is the Tigers are likely to lose major sponsor, Proton Motors, to Easts upon rumours the Chooks have offered Proton a cheaper deal. Easts action, particularly ceo Noyce , a former Tiger ceo with knowledge of our current Proton deal , stink , if this is true. NRL , with Rooster patron Politis pulling the strings , will doubtless not lift a finger…

Unsure/uncomfortable about the recent signing of Cayless & the return from the UK of Liam Fulton & Dan Fitzhenry . Too ‘RFC like’ for me . High profile , a depth boost , sure , & possibly a ‘signal of intent’ but can’t help but think such ‘top ups’ will limit the prospects of the promising youth finally evident in our ranks breaking through . Trio’s injury record also a concern … Further likelihood 2010 will be ‘boom or bust’ for coach Sheens.

Have i ever mentioned i hate the Roosters, Sydney City, Eastern Suburbs or whatever the cheque book wavers are calling emselves these days.

There are less cheque book wavers these days to prop up the Samsung Sydney City Roosters Camperdown Knockshop Feather Dusters.

Its on tonight innit MB ol son.

Thank christ somthing to watch.

Bit concerned re the Kangas forward pack though.

Reckon Benny Ceagh and a Weyman or Taylor woulda been worth a plane ticket over there.

Trent Waterhouse to pull on the #13 jersey for the Kangaroos as Lockyers protector.

Must say hats off to the Cronulla Sutherland Sharkies whose new board have come up with a marketing triumph going into season 2010.

In a clever marketing ploy the Sharks have put forward their membership drive for 2010 with all membvers to have their names printed on the club Jersey worn in round 1.

Fans can also buy merchandised jerseys with names on them.

Great way to asttract membership and inject massive dollars into the club.

Clever marketing and congrats for great idea i reckon.

Yur right Craig but we'll still win

Missed it but had to admit had a bit of a chuckle after the Kangas almost brought u undone MB ol son.

As i didnt see the game did the Kiwis Forwards bust up the Aussies Forwards, or did the Aussies lack cohesion or were they cocky again.

The Kiwis are a good side and really served it up to us. Defensively they put a lot of pressure on our combinations and made us look rusty at times. As MB said we were lucky to get away with a draw in the end. Smith, Lockyer, Thurston and Civoniceva as always were cool in a crisis.

In my opinion Greg Inglis was the standout player. He gets bigger, stronger and more dominant with every rep game he plays. He has also added mongrel and is more proactive at throwing his weight around........ creating even more fear in opponents. I think the Trent Barrett SOO highshot and his recent off-field dramas have mentally toughened him right up. I don't like society's current overuse of the word "awesome" but in GI's case there is no better application of it.

Not sure Craig, didn't watch the game,I thought we'd gove em a touch up.

Tigers & Lote Tuquiri together from March 2010 , after LT returns from a short term European R/Union stint (interesting if he'll provide much value in the 1st year) - 3 year , $400k/yr deal … 2010 home ground game share – 4 each @ Leichhardt & Campbelltown , 3 @ SFS & 1 @ SCG (v Souths
