Not alot of love about 9's performance nor should there be

I know nothing about NRL, but from watching the entire GF, I was flabbergasted at how poor the commentary was in general.
It reminded me of listening to a Cats game on KROCK.

Warren is an absolute bozo, a buffoon

I travelled up for the game,

Well worth it ,

Bellamy , what a coach ,

To restructure his side, after the losses of Folou, Crocker, Geyer , Smith and Kaufusi,

With a few no names( Finch excepted) and take them to a premiersip really does prove his worth as an elite coach.

Spot on Kiwi

Just watched the 2nd half again, that final penalty from the ref was a complete joke, parramatta were on an absolute roll and were very very unlucky. History now, but that decision was crucial. How Slater won the medal is beyond me, should have been cooper or moimoi. Go eels and tiges

Penalty was correct calls but ypical Eels blame that decision for losing.Isee there was a street parade for the Eels players yesterday.Last time I checked they lost.

correct - ref came out in the media pointing out the penalty was for the hold after the tackle, not for the tackle itself

as for the parade, that was just odd - I think they genuinely believe they were the better team and deserved the win

The sydney bias was showing again on tv, this time on 10 late news. Just flicked it on before going to bed and you could tell it came from sydney. Both teams were featured, but the lead story in sports tonight was the parade, for the losers?

Its not blaming the decision for losing, but your knowledge of league aint to great if you think that was a fair call. At that stage of the game I thought it was ridiculous. Melbourne were the better team, but that decision was a joke even if they reckon it was for the hold from the second man in. Whats the big issue expressing this? just enjoy your win

Well you were implying the Eels were robbed.Robert Finch agreed with the penalty & quite rightly mentioned the Inglis high shot that wasn't penalised when should of.We could have quite easily scored.

In the context of the game the penalty may have been harsh,

But the reason the commentators blew up was because they believed the penalty was for a strip when the replay showed that Billy dopped the ball,

But the ref did'nt penalise for that, he penalised Moi Moi for holding on to Billys foot too long as he was attempting to play the ball which caused the loss of balance and the drop,

Maybe harsh in the context of the game, but they are given every week in every game,

I think Parra supporters would be better off blaming some of their own players, than thinking the game was lost on that call, like Grothe and Hayne for standing there like rabbits in the headlights when the bomb went up and Inglis strolled through un-challenged to catch it and score.

Talk of a Tigers & Tuquiri union growing stronger . Tigers CEO Humphreys guardedly optimistic, stating more will be known in the next fortnight.

Be good to have Lote back ...now hows that for a Origin backline for the Maroons..

Slater , Folau, Inglis , Hodges and Tuqiri , biggest backline ever wouldnt it be.... aprt from lil Billy.

Roosters set to give Mason the ass.

Looks that there big spending spree has failed them spectacularly with Mason, O Meley, Shakleton all leaving from what i understand.

Brian Smith is gunna slash up the list like he did when he went to Newcastle.

But in true Roosters fashion the chequebook is out with Jason Ryles being a very big chance to come back as is Jason Cayless.

Cayless may re join his brother at the Eels or go to the Tigers from whispers ive heard and Premiership Tiger Dan Fitzhenry to return to Wests Tigers also next year great result for the Tigers if they can add Fitzhenry, Cayless and Lote Tuquiri they will threaten again, the addition of these guys to Heighington, Marshall, Ellis, Tuiaki, Skandalsi, Gibbs, Galloway and Farah, ect cte will stand the Tigs in very very good stead.

Looks like the SuperLeague logve affair is dropping off somewhat.

Interesting

I think one thing to come out of the last 4 years from the Storm making all grand finals,

The Storm have set the standard on how to build and manage a playing list under a salary cap IMO ,

Almost AFL style( no draft of course) but pretty much all of their stars were brought into the club as teenagers and then developed,

And they seem to make the right decisions on letting some of their players go to stay under the cap , and almost never it seems chase the big name established players coming off contract from other clubs, but trust their coaching staff to teach the youngsters,

This year they have recruited Chase Stanley a talented outside back 20 years of age, a couple of no name forwards with potential , and signed on 6 talented kids from their U 20 premiership side to the senior list.

Put simply, they are one of the most professional organisations in Australian Sport, if not the most professional.

I went and saw them train a couple of times and nothing is left to chance out there. Would do Richmond no harm to walk across the road and talk business philosophies and training philosophies over a day with them.

And with the Storm moving to their new facility next year they will be even closer to Richmond

If only we could acquire some of their tackling and other defensive skills too :'(
