NRL

Brutal affair in origin 3 last night with NSW winning game 3.Breet White knocke dout Steve Price in what I thought was prety ordinary.Justin Hodges nothing but trouble also.

Broncos get thumped by Souths last night & Doggies beat Titans.Wonder what Broncos think of their decision to flick Bennett with his Dragons on top & the Broncos out of the 8.Henjek under pressure.

Brian Smith to walk out of Newcastle to take up 4 year deal to coach Roosters from 2010.If I was Newcastle I'd boot him out now.

Broncos are RS MB going forward theyve lost too many and invested too much in too few.

Ie out - Civoniceva, Hannant, Boyd, Kemp, Enis and Stagg.

In - Folau

Just cant get by losing names like that, Storm struggling with the same situation.

Karmichael Hunt apparantly also on the way to Union for the big bucks.

So would i ........... Roosters are a joke and a shambles, they'll need to do better than Smith to right the ship imo.

Freddie was going ok but the player roster at the Bondi club is shithouse in all honesty.

Omeley and Mason are on last legs, Anasta always has been overated, they lost Morley, and have tried patch up job list management for too long.

A lack of a quality junior system has always been the bane of the Easts Club and always will forcing them to have to import talent as theyve done for ever and a day.

So Craig (im leaving Roosters to go to Souths cos im born and bred Souths and always wanted to play for Bunnies ) has threatened to sue his beloved bunnies if they dont let him go to Japan for squillions.

Spose those under the table $$$$ didnt matrialise.

So much for Souths born and bred eh Wingy my heart bleeds for you only getting by on 280 - 300 k.

Johnathon Thurston also reportedly being offered 900k a year to go to Japan.

Fair dinkum NRL is gonna find itself without marquee superstars to promote the game and keep fans tuning in at this rate.

Somthing has to be done to stop the exodus.

raising the cap is the obvious answer, but how many clubs could afford to keep up?

league is in major trouble

didn't help with the maroons bit in the press today either. nothing illegal, but plain dumb (and unprofessional on origin week)

It is but it will survive & thrive eventually

31k @ Canterbury v Parramatta suggests things not to too shabby.....

Tigers at last starting to turn performances into results, todays 25-4 win @ Canberra our 3rd in a row (1st time in over 2 years).Belated shift of natural 1/2 Moltzen to no.7 seems to be working allowing Marshall to play his own game without the pressure of staging 'big plays' etc. That said, need to continue this form v Manly next Monday to ensure our season still has a pulse..

:hihi :hihi :hihi ah the Roosters my heart bleeds for em.

NOw MB whats this i hear Steve Turner (he who is fast becoming a very overpiced mercenary with his past history of chopping and changing) has signed with Canterbury next 2 years.

Geez with the likes of Idris, Millard, Morris, and Goodwin the Dogs already have good options in the outside backs.

Doggies imo should spent their money elsewhere than on Turnerwhos had it easy on the outside of Inglis past few seasons.

Turner is a good player but not the sort of player the Dogs really needed to be honest.

Geez the way Turner changes his mind and upds and goes i wouldnt wanna be his missus. :hihi

Turner will come this time,he'll be ok for doggies but has knee problems.

Interesting stuff that GC 17 has actually signed ........................ believev it or not one Karmichael Hunt !!

Apparantly he was a very good junior AFL player and has decided to give AFL a go will be interesting to see how that experiment pans out.

No doubt if it doesnt work special K will find his way back to the NRL.

Storm have re-signed Brett Finch for next year which is great news as he has slotted into the side well & solved our no 6 problems.

Storm get by Dragons 26-12 which to me confirms the Dragon's favouritism for the tile. Can't see the Storm making the big one this year & Sika Manu out for the year will be a massive loss.
