Just putting up a comparison counter argument in a nice and clear concise way for the man to understand.

All NZ'ers know the All Blacks cheat worse than the Oakland Raiders ...

No, we play to the rules better than anyone else. ;)

its a fine line if you get away with it.

All competitive teams know how to push the boundaries, if its blatent cheating or illegal, then blame the authorities for not pulling them up.

You could apply this argument to pretty much any sport.

For Storm fans,

From all reports we could have a special player in Arana Taumata next season ........ onfield that is,

He has been sacked from 3 clubs for offfield incidents, such as drinking and fighting in clubs,

Only 19 though, Steve Kearney acts as a mentor/ father figure to the young maori/ polynesian boys , and they are hoping to steer him in the right direction here in Melbourne, there is no doubting his freakish football ability.

A natural 6, who has exceptional pace and balance , was descibed as a junior as being better than Benji Marshall, before he went off the rails.

which would free up Inglis to play his natural position at centre.

I found this footage of him on you tube playing juniors.

If you want to discuss facts, then the fact is that Cameron Smith attacked the head of a player, was reported and given two weeks for it.

I'm not being a smart arse here because I don't follow the nrl religiously, but what happened to the player that a few weeks ago punched a Storm player in the face after scoring a try? As I said, not a total fanatic, it may have been reported, he may have been suspended, I just haven't heard or seen anything.

He got 1 week

The fact is there were 40-50 similar tackles that were similar or sorse than Smiths & none of them went up to the judiciary.

haha :) 'Pushing the boundaries' I love that statement. Most creative way of saying 'We cheat'

& don't worry, if the refs were to starstruck to penalise Australia I'd encourage us to do it too. When Richie (& those who have come before him) plays offside, it's Australia's responsibility to punish him for it as they know the refs won't. It's our fault we don't.

But it is a fair comparison, just because the AB's don't get penalised as much as they really should, doesn't mean they don't do it...... Ablett Junior and Judd rarely get pinged for holding the ball, and we all know how ridiculous that is (Remember the day in front of the MCC members Judd was spun the 360 TWICE in one tackle before dropping the ball cold and still didn't get pinged) .... The amount of penalties awarded against the superstar team of the comp (Storm) means nothing in comparison to how often they do it.

Yet none of that changes the fact Cam attacked the head of an opposing player

!! Geez. Talk about wasting potential oppurtunites. I'll never understand these boys sometimes.

That's a big positive. I can't see the you tube, what's his size like? Hope he's not small frame like Benj has.

The stupidest move in history was moving Inglis to 6. Well maybe after Gasnier (At least Greg was mildly capable of playing there) Melbourne will be much much better off getting Inglis back out into the centres.

Did he play for the Junior Kiwis?

^ Who knows.

OJ Simpson got away with murder. Should we then allow all murderers, even those caught red handed on camera get away with it because 'someone else got away with it'

It's very amusing watch you lot admit Cam did the wrong thing and still whinge.

Dead set take the blinkers off.

^ is he wrong?

Players were suspended for high tackles this year. Does that mean EVERY player who made a high tackle was charged and suspended? No.

Toddy Payten got given a ridiculous suspension during the season in comparison to what he did/what others get away with. Do you see me sooking about it? Sometimes players get charged, sometimes they don't.

The only fact that matters is that Thaiday was tackled, one player chooses to try and reef his arm out of the shoulder socket, the other (Cam) arrives and has Thaiday's entire body splayed out and available to be hit... Yes he chose, he chose to play the mans head.

The ironic thing is, given the way Sam was being held down. Cam could have really hurt him, probably turned the ball over and avoided a suspension had he hit him in a legal fashion.

No worries,Pretty lucky,don't you think?

Umm, 'lucky' would be a fair word to use :)
Smith should learn from this. Next time, he should smack someone in the head, not 'grappletackle'. Who knows, if he did that, he might have played in the Grand Final.
I'm also commenting on this as someone who doesn't follow the sport as closely as others. From what I saw, I would have thought the tackle penalty should have been less than the punch verdict.

Now that the dust has settled and all the water has past under the bridge,

I'm over the Cam Smith incident,

If the GF had've gone down to the wire, maybe I would have some regrets with him not playing,

But the way Manly played , and the way we did'nt front,

Well , he would'nt have made alot of diff anyway,

Full credit to Manly by the way,

They deserve all the plaudits that have come their way,

I was at last years Grand Final and this years,

And you would swear , the two sides swapped jumpers, what a difference a year can make.

But in reflection, looking at the bigger picture for the Storm , after 11 seasons, only missed the finals twice, 4 grand finals, 2 priemerships, lifes not that bad.

Would be nice for the tigers to get a little piece of that action.

He would be a similiar height to Benji, but looks to have a more muscular frame, looks more explosive with pace and power,

Not 100% if he played junior kiwis,

But I also know Joey Johns tried to get him to the knights, the knights board were scared to touch him.
