NRL

you have to give the guy credit, it takes effort to make Fev look like an intellectual in comparison to yourself.

Storm thump Titans 44-4 last night at the graveyard in pretty predictable result.Titans have a few out but are certainly not up to the class of the Storm. In the other match last night as expected Manly easily beat Penrith 30-10.

Can't believe Money Bill Williams. Hopefully he never plays in the NRL again. To just up and leave the Bulldogs is a disgrace. Always thought there was something shifty about that bloke.

Well said Lady Main.

Ive stated on these threads for the past 3 years that the Canterbury Bankstown club has shot itself in the head with their playing roster and trade decisons.

$BW and Mason ahve cost the Dogs there salary cap and of most ire have forced the Dogs to part with quality clubmen in Asotasi, OMeley and most of all the spiritual leader in the great Steven Price due to lack of $$ Throw in one Johnathon Thurston and Nate Myles and it gets worse.

On this fact alone losing Price has crippled the club off field.

The roster has been full of over rated, immature, self adoring, mercenaries who care nought for the once proud great club the likes of Maitua, Mason, Tonga, Utai, and Ben Roberts and these blokes all need to go before the ol Canterbury can be restored.

Williams has been shafted by that snake in the grass Nasser who has only pointed SBW to France so he can get a slice of some big $$ whiuch he didnt get his grubby thieving little mits on when Williams signed hi9s 5 year deal under another manager.

Sonny has ruined himself leaving as he did and shoulda at least seen out this season then at least met with Ryan, Patten and the club etc to inform them of his wishes. As Ryan himself stated he coulda copped that at least he wouldve been informed and the playing group shown respect.

The Dogs are at rock bottom but imo the future will be ok and the former Canterbury Bankstown image may be re built.

Reni Maitua should be sacked as should be Roberts as they are poor role models, loose cannons and immature. Roberts is a dud anyway.

The signing of mature off field types in Kimmorley, Ennis, and Hannant and young Morris (who shoulda stayed at Dragons and i bet now wishes he did )will assist in improving the Dogs profile somewhat as these guys arent in the news every week for the wrong reasons.

Only way is up for the Dogs but i must say as a hard core long term Dogs supporter since 86 my faith in the Canterbury Bankstown Club has waned over the past 5-6 years as has my support as i no longer feel the passion for the club i once had due to all this rubbish and the poor behaviour of the imbecile supporter group.

Au Revoir Sonny .............................. what was that tripe about Mason earlier in the year also in regard to loyalty, mateship and integrity.

Your effort was much lower than Willies my boy.

To Andrew Ryan and Luke Patten and El Magic - kudos for your professionalism trying to hold together a basket case. Quality leaders that the club would be lost without.

The Dogswill rise again ...................... the NRL is on a knifes edge and this business will no doubt continue to plague the competition.

Dont know what can be done as removing the salary cap will send more than half of the Sydney clubs to the wall and i hope NRL realise this very fact.

Superleague and free markets destroyed the great Balmain - Ryde Tigers, Western Suburbs Magpies, North Sydney Bears and almost burried the South Sydney Bunnies. Thes are foundation clubs and great clubs.

On the grapevine - Neville Costigan a big show to be playing with the Storm next year.

Good tough player when on song, and if any club or any coach can focus Nev (ala Crocker) then the Stormers will have a very handy pick up imo.

Also news is that the Dogs are considering moving to the Central Coast .......yes thats correct.

The Canterbury side are looking quite seriously at leaving the fortress that was Belmore and eyeing off Gosford in what could equate to an 11million dollar deal for the club.

Its rumored the Dogs board have had it with the controversy and also the Sydney Olympic Stadium deal, and the idiotic fan base and are eyeing the Central Coast as part of a reinvigoration, cleansing rebuilding effort.

Cant say i blame the board either, but i doubt it would eventuate ................ never know i spose.

However i would prefer the dogs not to go to the Central Coast as i still support the whispers of a return to the NRL of the Mighty Bears outta Gosford under the name of the Northern Bears.

How good would that be to see the Red and Blacks back ................ i reckon it would be great. Bring Back the Bears.

Got my spies MB ol son ;)

Also news today is that the Raiders have sacked Todd Carney.

A wonderfully talented youngster who wouldve helped re invigorate NRL in the ACT, shame he lacks brains and cant control his grog.

Tim, Smith and Todd Carney6 2 terribly talented youngsters lost (for the time being) to the NRL.

Carney not allowed to play elsewhere in NRL next year and has been de registered.

Spose he'll be off to the Superleague also.

Raiders fans will get the opportunity to watch Todd carve them up for 8 years when he comes back and plays for the Roosters or Manly.

Great in depth interview on tonights NRL Footy Show with SBW. Opinion of him may change after viewing it. Very honest in his answers. Rugby League has a lot of problems. (notwithstanding that SBW walked out on a contract)

It was with his mate Weidler though wasnt it Jimbob.

On face value id reckon Danny would give Sonny some nice lead in questions and take it easy and turn into a sympathy session so that Williams would actually give the interview.

I may be wrong and will watch it later.

Terrible performance by SBW.Its all about money but he blamed everybody else except himself. He performed like a Mundine puppet & has forgotten how he sought a 5 year deal with Bulldogs.Good ridence

Yep how Mudinesque.

Sonny is obviously a very fragile, weak and very meek individual as far as intellect goes to let Mundine and that grub excrement Nasser get in his ear and brainwash him.

Remember what my dad told me when i was a kid.

He who talks first, angriest and loudest and who points the finger is the nervous one, the embarrassed one, the guilty one and the weakest one.

DUD

GOOD RIDDANCE EXACTLY.

Reckon you are right.
The AFL is fortunate in some respects that it isn't an international game, or competing with a similar code(Union) for that matter.

Big game tonight Manly v Storm.Heading off to the Rising Sun hotel to watch it live as 9 in Melbourne aren't showing it until 10.30.I think the Storm will break the brooky hoodoo & when in a close game.

Storm beat Manly 16-10 last night in rugged affair.Manly were probably the better side on the night but their defence stood firm & we won there for the first time since 1999.

Nearly as a good win as the Mighty Tigers over STG MB :cupgold :cupgold :cupgold :cupgold

Greg Inglis linked to Khoder Nasser and talking rubbish re how good Mundine is as he has balls and doesnt take *smile* from anyone.

Mundine fair dinkum looks like hes ouit to brainwash another star in the making and ruin his career.

This bloke Nasser should be banned from managing any NRL talent he isnt even registered.

Interesting to watch Inglis persona change over the next 12 months as Mundine fills him full of *smile*.

Wonder if Nasser and Mundine have given him a Koran yet.

Fair Dinkum Mundine is a blight on the game that made him.

Tonie Carroll and ....................... yes Tonie Carroll is looking likely to not retire at years end and may find his way to the Dragons to play with Bennett, as is Costigan who was almost as good as signed and sealed to the Storm 2 weeks ago.

Antonio Kaufusi linked with the Eels as Moi Moi looks to England.

Tim Smith already being chased by the Warriors to return.

NRL dead set has to get its house in order.

Inglis should walk away from these clowns before he turns into one himself.Would suggest Inglis will chase the money & go to Union in 2011.I'd rather see him leave than pay around 750k to keep him.

Big game at Olympic Park tonight with Storm playing Roosters.Roosters have a good record against Storm but I expect Storm to win by around 8.

Went to the game,

Storm blew them away first half,

And the wet weather that blew in, in the second half, may have saved the Chooks from a total flogging.

But the storm appear to be changing into top gear just in time for the finals.

They are the best coached side in the comp.
