Noah Balta - Welcome to Tigerland

I'm sure he cares. I think he just misspoke. It was off the back of saying there's nothing he can do about it after the event.
I actually don't think he does. It wasn't just what he said but the tone he said it in. I don't think he's alone either. I think it's something that comes out of the professionalisation (for want of an actual word) of the league. They are all kids earning way too much money who don't face too many consequences for their actions. He won't get dropped for that. He wouldn't even get benched for it these days. So they really don't care. Noah Cumberland is only 3 games in. Not sure he'll care that much in a few years if he's cemented in the team by then

These are the ones that annoy me the most. Why is it so hard to KICK THROUGH THE FOOTY. Jeez. You'd think that with the amount of players that do these little stabby kicks close to goal that they would somehow improve accuracy but they seem to decrease it. Just kick the ball into the 3rd tier and head back to the middle.
Exactly. Kick your standard balanced kick. Amazing what the coaches are doing, all 8 of them, that none of them know this, or agree with this

Jack kicked 1.3
Balta 1.2

Seems to fit in fine up forward.

Yeh he was just a bit philisophical about it all.

Just watched the replay. Can’t believe he let the clock run down.

And being at the game I didn’t realise he was kicking from 45m out. Makes it even more farcical.

No excuses in the world for that even if he didn't hear it isn't there a countdown clock and we're our experience heads telling him ? we just seem cannot even do the basics right.

If we had any bloody leaders dont ya think they should of been making him aware time was tickin?...
Play him down back now lynch is back...
Had the same thought Arlo.

I'm often wrong, but did we have 43 premiership medallions playing last night?

The core of this team can win premierships, but now we can't close out games against minnows like norf and GC?? Freo were ripe for the picking.

Serious lack of on field leadership presently

Something is off at Punt Rd.

Far prefer him in defence, don't really think he is a forward. Would take a lot to convince me otherwise. Can be a great defender. That athleticism and height can be a real handfull back, plus a booming kick, he can do a lot of damage outmarking forwards and pumping it to our forward line in one big kick.

All the talk of his eyesight, I have heard he has trouble at night games with his contact lenses. Well, if contacts don't work then wear glasses. I know we haven't seen a player in glasses for a long time but Mason Cox is doing it and I'm sure there are ways to make glasses which would work in footy. You can't have a player running around with compromised sight, needs to be fixed.

Disappointed by his attitude.

“But who cares”. Said that in his interview with Richo.

Not exactly what he should be saying after blowing the 3rd game in a row. Poor from Noah.

At least Cumbo showed he cares.
I was staggered that he even did an interview.

Again, zero leadership. Get him off the ground.

Blaming Jack.... Who cares .... Didn't hear the umpire......

Excuses and blame have crept back into our side since last year. Un-richmondlike

I think Blethyn for Essendon would have been the last one that wore glasses on the ground. He went alright, but that was in the 70’s.

If eyesight is his problem around crap kicking there should be a gameplan for him to handball off to someone else ,like Short long kick and more accurate.

Of course he cares. He would have felt devastated and felt that he was mostly to blame. It can be hard fronting up to the media straight after a game like that.

Balta is a better back than forward. But we have a heap of backs and Balta is the best option of the lot to play forward.

Agree, but it’s still a very stupid thing to say. Doesn’t paint him or the club in the right light.

Smacks of arrogance and a poor culture. Things that have not been part of our make up for some time now

Reading between the lines on what Balta said is that he's been brainwashed with that 'positive attitude thought' in the head by saying "no need to dwell in the past, so let's move on" like all other players have once mentioned to the media. Good in one way, bad in another if you don't look back to fix errors. Dimma says this a lot of times in pressers.

Thought he had a good game overall. First time in a while he was really attacking the ball in the air and creating havoc on the ground.

Balta I'm more annoyed with because he was easily within kicking distance and took like 2 hours to kick it. Any score was likely to win the game.

Just watched the last Q too. He milked for too long.

100% correct call by the ump. Only 40-45 out ffs just kick the goal, even if he missed still likely to win with a 1.25 left on the clock. Both teams didn't score even a single behind in the last 7 mins of play.
