Noah Balta - Welcome to Tigerland

Hats off to bullushit who was a massive balta fan in his draft year

He was also a big wrap for Taylor from GWS. Imagine those 2 together!

And he also really liked Bailey Williams, the debutant from West Coast

Sure. Francis Bourke was one of the greatest defenders of all time. And I don't know what religion he is but I certainly don't agree with it.

And there are times when Noah Balta reminds me of Francis Bourke. But not many.

I've never seen a defender quite like Noah Balta.

He's like McGovern, but accountable and not fat.

Both Bullus and i were huge Balta fans and we were both hoping he would fall to us

Bullus wanted Allen,Balta,Taylor and i wanted Allen,Balta,Coleman Jones

We barely missed Dylan going down when Noah is on the rise. Has the big game temperament. Another of Leppa's champions to be?
I reckon Leppa helped developed Rance and Broad as backmen and it looks like it’s the same for Balta. The Grub was always gonna be a good backman, so too the Bib V, and DLT but Leppa would have improved them too no doubt. However he knocked all those rough edges off Rance and made him a champion and Broad came from a long way back and is now bloody dependable as hell. Throw in Bachar and Short and he has made a great defence.

Can they shut up always comparing him to Rance.
@20 Rance was delist material
Couldn't hit a target to save himself
And basically he showed nothing

@20 Balta is showing that he can mark. He can defend and most importantly he kicks like Jim Jess.

The most obvious thing to feel excited about is his athletic ability ,

But the more you watch him , you see temperament and composure that is rare for a tall of this age , and you are right, rance didn’t have this at the same stage , it came later for rance .

But until he can kick a torp from the half back line to FF, The Ghost will still have one of the biggest kicks the RFC has ever seen

23 games... his rapid progress has been a godsend. Who could've foreseen a Richmond side 12 months ago without Rance, Astbury or Grimes?

I keep bringing up Glendinning but that goal was right out of his playbook.

Opposition supporter rang up having a go saying that Balta’s goal shouldn’t have been allowed as Lynch interfered on the goal line.

Did say it was one of the best goals he has seen this year.

Watson on SEN after the call saying your basically can do whatever you want on the goal line’.
