Obvious problem with divisional leagues: Carolina 7 wins (less than 50%) beats Arizona 11 wins and advances to the next week in the playoffs.

Should be open seeding, having said that I'm happy the Cardinals lost. As a neutral I'd much rathe watch Cam Newton than Ryan Lindley.

Lindley is a Rombotis level of bad. Panthers D peaking at the right time as well.

:hihi Yep, Cam's the man. Lively QB.

Geez Ben worries me at times.....brainfades.

As expected, game over.....season over. Steelers quit this game (at home!!) before it started. Too many indecisions from Ben and the receivers, too many useless drives, too many fumbles.....blah!

Great game from Flacco and his receivers. Big Ben's too stiff and slow. Polamalu has been great but should retire. We missed more than just LeVeon Bell today....no excuses.

What a Richmond feel this team gives at times......geez.

Our defense has been absolutely outstanding, considering the secondary injuries. Great game by Pees.

Flacco been amazing seeing as we have 2 rookie OLinemen and Forsett was bottled up.

I thought the tide turned when Forsett fumbled and lost the ball, but no chance again.

Too many on-line mocking of Ben at the moment. Gratkowski replaced him for a couple of minutes and was more mobile with the throws. Ben comes back on and throws to a turnover..... :help

Yeah I thought the fumble would be a killer, particularly after the 4th down conversion on the previous play.

Both Big Ben and Miller looked concussed when they went back out there, wonder whether there will be much fall out from that...

agree with everthing you have said tf but bell was definately missed but steelers didnt look the part from the start

Bell was missed, but a one player loss doesn't break a team. Ben taking forever just diminishes any chance of Brown, Bryant, Miller, Wheaton and Tate getting the ball.

I've had doubts on Tomlin since he took over, speaks tough but with no substance. A bit Dimma like at times....just doesn't have a plan B.

Even Ben is starting to resemble Richo in that we need to move him on and groom a young QB for the future but he's too good and loyal to get rid of.

I think Tomlin is an interesting one. Started off like a house on fire, but the last 3 years have been underwhelming. In contrast Harbaugh and the Ravens have been pretty consistent (with the exception of 2013) and the Bengals have made the playoffs 3 years in a row.

The offense was very good this year so it's unlikely Haley is fired, but at what point is LeBeau tapped on the shoulder?

roethlisberger is still reasonably young at 32 for a quality qb has always looked stiff and slow will be there next season barring injury good to see cam newton get awin in playoffs former auburn tigers qb with whom i have a connection

Johnny's a great coach you have there. All the Harbaughs are in fact (still shocked to see Jimmy leave SF).

Both have 1 SB to their name and are both statistically close with season and playoff W-L record, but I see a longer future with Johnny.

Haley's head coach record at the Chiefs was below average and I can't see much improvement as our offence coach, so IMO should be looked at, whereas, LeBeau at the Bengals was worse, but he had his comfort zone as just a line coach at the Steelers for a long time, so I'd keep him, but only if we can't find anyone better.

What a screw job on Detroit by the refs. I suppose we can't all forget that the Dallas Cowboys are the ratings chick just like the Bummers are to us.

A bit hard on them Tigerforce!
The Steelers gave us 2 Superbowl wins over the last decade. We're still waiting for the Tigers to give us that in recent times.
Personally, I was amazed that the Steelers made the finals considering their season's start. That's more Richmond like in 2014.

I think the Steeler's future will be controlled at a higher level than Tomlin.
Kevin Colbert, Omar Khan and Dan Rooney Jr will determine the Steelers' future fortunes.
Tomlin, like the other coaches and playing staff will continue then end depending upon those higher decisions.

2011 was only 3 years ago, but how many of these boys are still on the Steelers roster?
Steelers passing
Ben Roethlisberger - yes

Steelers rushing
Rashard Mendenhall - no
Ben Roethlisberger - yes, repeat
Isaac Redman - no
Mewelde Moore - no

Steelers receiving
Mike Wallace - no
Hines Ward - no
Antwaan Randle El - no
Emmanuel Sanders - no
Heath Miller - yes
Matt Spaeth - yes
Rashard Mendenhall - no, repeat
Antonio Brown - yes
And that's only the attack!

Their undergoing a major rebuild.
To make the play-offs in a rebuild is a significant achievement.
Tomlin should share in that.

I know we're in a rebuild Phanto, but just like Richmond, we play at home, in a final, and with zero confidence and no plan B once we get found out by the opposition. This game reminded me of the EF against Carlton in 2013. We deserved to be there more than a 'weaker' Baltimore team and yet we lose.

Ben's body language from the 1st minute looked negative....injury?

Maybe, like Richmond, the boys were just shot completely.
I took the same view of Richardson in his final years at Tigerland.
Roethy's body is shot. He gets caught regularly at crucial stages in games.
In a way, considering our start, I might have preferred us at the bottom of AFC North, so we could have drafted the next Roethy.

Well, let's hope we do draft the best young QB available at pick 22 because we only have Landry Jones (from the Sooners) on the list as a young QB who will be 26 and in his 3rd season from Sept this year. He's not the best and struggled to step up to NFL level during pre-season.

I think despite Ben having his best statistical season of the year, the hits have started taking their toll. He's a very old 32.

Having said that, if Bell plays I think the result is very different.

And I'm sure you will agree that responsibility for the list lays at a higher level than Tomlin.

Of course, we need a new QB to take over within the next 2 seasons, a new secondary unit as some are getting old (Keisl, Harrison, Ike Taylor, Polamalu, Allen) and few more RBs and WRs to support Bell and Brown.

As for Tomlin and co., we need a bit more diversity and strategy in the major game plan. He should also cut his childish comments at the presser sometimes just like Micky Malthouse.
