Yeah, but Browns have been around longer. Texans would be more like Freo....admittedly, becoming worse than Titans and Jags now.

Might be wrong on this, but ain’t the Texans the old Houston Oilers?

Oilers had a gun QB back in my youth - Warren Moon. He was a jet according to my fading memories…..

Riceman would have the answers. Missing his input this year.

When I lived in the us I started in Houston and Texans were great other than their QB - Schaub - I think - who choked every time it mattered.

Proved an unfortunate pick but I can have five or six second teams.

Had a good run of coin flips this season - will it last?

Yep. Matt Schaub. Schaub the fraud.

Potato.

Oilers are now the Titans. Texans were a new team from 1999.

We had awesome receivers and running backs and a pretty good d. But the dude just kept throwing intercepts in playoffs etc.

Usually in red zone for a pick 6.

Warren Moon was a great QB. Signature formation for the Oilers during his time was the shotgun when it wasn't anywhere near as popular as it is today. The Oilers would consistently line up 4 receivers at the line of scrimmage which was unheard of.

Week 3 games are as follows.

Due to the uncertainty surrounding Joe Burrow's availability I have left the Bengals v Rams game out of our matches.
Fortunately there is another MNF game to fall back on.

Dallas Cowboys (-12.5) @ Arizona Cardinals (+12.5) 6:25am Monday Sept 25th
Pittsburgh Steelers (+2.5) @ Las Vegas Raiders (-2.5) 10:20am Monday Sept 25th
Philadelphia Eagles (-4.5) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+4.5) 9:15am Tuesday September 26th

Moon was really good, and one of the worst coaching decisions I have ever seen cost the Oilers bigtime one season.

Last game of the regular season (early 90s I think), Oilers have blown it against the Bengals (the reason why I was watching) and can't win with basically no time left to play. Will still make play-offs, but as a wildcard instead of div winner.

Moon is in white hot form (the game before he threw for over 500 hundred yards) and the Oilers look a good chance to make some headway through the playoffs.

I can still remember the commentators thinking it was crazy that Moon was still out there given they couldn't win and had a wildcard game next week. But they left him in, and with basically no time on the clock...............................

It happened. Moon caught his hand on a players helmet during a play and broke his thumb. It was bad, out for the rest of the season, and they got hammered the following week without him, coincidently against the Bengals again.
