NFL & NCAA Football Threads

Ahhhh ok then, first time I have seen this.

Clearly a hold, they will call it every time they see a jumper stretched like that.

Am yet to go back and watch the replay, did they highlight this on the coverage ? I don't remember seeing it at all.
No they missed it, they were showing the holding, arm holding further down the field, thinking that was it. It was only Bradberry and the umpire who called it that people started finding out what happened.

When you actually see the play, you can see Shuster do a slight jolt back like you do when someone pulls your jumper or shirt.
So like some guys have said, that would stop you running a 4.5 40 into a time of 4.8.

This shows you how tight those jerseys are when put on, you need to get assistance to get it off :ROFLMAO:

Genesis Open from LA. You should be watching it in preparation for Drofgusta Moopsy.

My preparations begin with Bay Hill in a couple of weeks.

Four week form guide is all I will need to take the title !

Lot of permutations with a lot of big name players this off season. Rodgers, Jackson, Pollard, Carr, Hargrave, McGlinchey, Brown and others. Few big names hit FA in 2024 too, so be interesting to see what players-teams do with the likes of Daniel Jones, Mike Evans etc.

Anyway, MLB Spring Training games start this weekend. Massive rule changes this year. Enormous. Not sure about these loveable pesky Red Sox this year….

I read a bit on a new balanced schedule this season.
That’s just one of the changes. One of the lesser ones actually. But yes. Intra league games will triple from about 16 to 46 I think it is. Trying to account for stronger divisions having strong teams miss the playoffs ….while weaker teams in weaker divisions make it.

I like it. Pitch clock? Wow.

That’s one of the biggest. Enormous change. Massive.

All these changes have been trialled the last few years in over 8000 minor league games and with every stat and data analysis behind it that you can imagine. Unlike the AFL…..

Has been a roaring success in the minors and will also be in the majors. Guaranteed.

Theo Epstein is a genius.

This could get really pedantic and controversial. Interesting to see.

Drof likes it and reckons it improves and speeds up the games.

Watched a bit of that XFL today. Not bad but nowhere as big as NFL. Teams don't last for long.
It's a great move, will definitely speed them up. The video below teaches the batter to get moving as well, they waste time playing around as well.

The game like all American sports is a bit slow, so much wasted time playing around with time outs, looking at runners on base, staring at first base, the batter, waiting for the pitcher's call, just wasting time man.

I went to a game and it was great, but it went into a few extra innings and it went from finishing around 3 hrs to 4 and a half hours, no team could score. The only reason I stayed was because we'd never seen a game before and I wanted to see a team win.

If I had seen game's live before I would have been out of there after 9 innings and it would have been about 10pm and straight to Disneyland for the last hour and a half until it closes at midnight. But it finished 11.3pm'ish so we canned that idea until the next night. I know the trick to Disneyland man ;)

In baseball, sometimes I don't mind it. I can last watching a 5 setter in tennis into midnight and beyond.
