2023. The year the TV audience was favoured over hardcore members who attend games.
He is 81, mind you, watching it I did wonder why there was some dead bloke at the table.Presser on now. Kerry Stokes has aged...
That would have happened no matter who got the rights. TV line weeknight games. Wait until Wednesday becomes the new Thursday.Looks like we'd have to get used to these bloody Thursday night matches. $4.5b on a 7 year deal.
Weekend at Kerry's has a nice ring to it.He is 81, mind you, watching it I did wonder why there was some dead bloke at the table.
Are they spending any money on the arc.
They've bought a new Oppo phone to film things with. Are they spending any money on the arc.
Would sooner have the Sunday late game. They have just screwed over county and people with young families.Looks like we'd have to get used to these bloody Thursday night matches. $4.5b on a 7 year deal.
I imagine it is what it is like being at a North V GWS game.Re commentary choices, I now use the mute button at times but it’s strange sitting in the quiet watching the footy at times.
Agree with that. Financially it is a great deal I just hope the money gets to the right places. I have Foxtel so from a TV perspective nothing will change for me. However I much prefer to watch our games in person where possible so more Thursday night games is very annoying. Absolute worst timeslot hands down. Pain in the arse to get in there after work and still gotta go to work the next day. This is an absolutely sensational deal, huge in the current climate and after the cuts the industry made.
Great for the players and staff, great for the AFLW and great for just about every level of the game.
Awful day for anyone who resents the TV power in the game though, get ready for Thursday nights, lots of Fox exclusive games and a fixture absolutely designed to maximise TV ratings.
