Rosy, comments are typed in yellow with black background but show in white later. Is that normal?

Yep. I assume it's to easily distinguish between the message box and the post box.

As I'm typing now, the background looks too dark. I suppose we're all used to typing black font on white backgrounds.

Black is a pretty dark colour. :hihi

Cosmetic things like that can be changed if there is enough support to convince us we should do it. It will take time to adapt to the different look and layout. Give it a few days to become familiar with it and see how you feel then.

Same here.

Background screen is all black and no more grey. Font I'm typing now is yellow and not white.

Still very slow on my side and looks too dark.

That's the new reply box. To get back the old Black on White box, click this icon

Ity should be the last one on the right of your reply tool bar.

There used to be an icon to click to go to the last post in a thread?

Are you talking within the thread, or from the thread list ? The one on the front is still there.

Ahhh....that looks better..........I thought I was going blind. ;D (even the emoticon shows now instead of the symbols)

Thanks Baloo.

I think he meant to the last post in the thread, not to the first unread post. There was a button to go straight to the last post made in the 'last post' column, but I can't see it now.

Ah, yes. It was a small icon in the Last Post column. Yep, goneski.

How do you keep it white?

Well there you go. I didnt know about that. I prefer the YELLOW and BLACK option. :hearton

The look is personal taste. People can change themes if they don't like the colours the way they are. I think the basic one is blue.

I suppose you have to keep on clicking on the toggle to change it to white?

That 'last post' icon is good coz it saved scrolling down to the last post all the time.

Actually, the Last Post icon has been replaced by a text link

Re: New forum-- is a link to the last post.

Rosy, on the forum thread list, last column.

Ooooooooo black - niiiiice!!!!!!

My only issue with the previous set up was that if you wanted to quote a slab of text in a reply and your reply was lengthy as well, I found that the cursor kept wanting to return to the top of the page. I have probably done a rubbish job at explaining the issue, but I hoped it's fixed.

Rosy - can I assume, given want seems like significant investment in this new look, that you have decided to keep the site running and henceforth made your thread "The future of PRE" redundant. I do hope so because I like PRE and after rereading all the petty squabbling that took place within thread (I hate myself a little bit for rereading it by the way) I feel a bit sadder that we Tiger supporters aren't more unified in our support................

Re: New forum-- is a link to the last post.

That is there on the main board, but not on threads inside each forum. For me, anyway.

Is it the yellow icon on the 2nd column on the left? If so, I can't click on it.

The thread was more about our future direction than stopping the site. It's not really redundant. There is a lot for us to mull over in hopes of improving the site. There are moderating features on this new forum that will help make our job easier too.
