Do you think Malthouse, Sheedy & Matthews have a sports degree.
We need recruiters and development coaches!!!

I would say he would be good at being a development coach.

Am I missing something? Did Craig or the RFC officially announce his signing with us?

It's the off season for RFC now. There are no rumours, everything is fact.

Does anyone know what role we have offered ?

Happy to see Craig in whatever role the club thinks he'll help us out in but I'd be a tad nervous if he was too involved in game day tactics or selection.

Ruck.

If indeed he has chosen us will be good to hear his reasons why considering he seemed to have a large selection.

Nice to hear some positives from a (previous) non Richmond man.

Lids in the midfield under Neil Craig's "sports science department".

Would Craig coming be bad for Maric?

It dosent make sense, trade for a guy that this bloke didn't like!
We are just covering all bases.
Next year we will get Ratten and pick up Fev
The year after we get Voss and pick up Luke power

The once-seemingly certain passage of out-of-contract Crows ruckman Ivan Maric to Richmond has found a pause.

Maric may decline the Tigers' advance should deposed Crows coach Neil Craig find his way to Punt Road on a three-year deal to be coach Damien Hardwick's senior assistant/mentor or coaching director.

The Football press has become like Internet Footy posters who get paid . Someone has heard that Maric doesn't get on with Neil Craig and makes the assumption that if Craig goes to Richmond then Maric may not . It then becomes a newspaper story .

I guess if you throw enough speculation around you will get one right eventually .

I think the Maric v Craig thing is a beat up, whatever role Craig has it won't involve directly coaching Maric. But in the unlikely event its true, given a choice I'd take Craig

I'm with you Colonel. I think the Maric vs. Craig thing is a beat up, but if it were true, I wouldn't want a player so petulant they wouldn't come if we employed person A, B, or C.

Agreed

There's sure been plenty of speculation re this Craig appointment. Caro for instance has had about 17 stabs at where Craig will end up.
It seems to me that clubs have tightened right up on what gets leaked out to the media these days and they are grasping at straws more than they once did.
