NBA 2011

All-star game was good after LeBron carried the East on his back in the 2nd half. Exciting end and looked to be a bit of heat in that one.

Rest of the weekend sucked.

Funny to see the media jumping all up and down about Lebron turning it over in the last couple of seconds and how he can't deliver in the clutch.

I'll say it, Lebron is the best player in the NBA by so far this year. Almost 27 pts, 8 rebs, 7 asts, 2 steals, and almost 1 block while shooting %55.

None of that matters come playoff time.....which is where the criticism comes from,
It'll be interesting to see how he goes this year.....but I expect the same failed efforts from previous playoffs.

Lebron is probably the best play in the league but the best player shouldn't give the ball to somebody else to win the game,
no matter how many times you've failed at it.

Yeah, it's funny. They always bring up his Dallas series which he admitted he wasn't good enough but seemingly forget the Chicago and Boston series in which he dominated and carried. Heat don't get that far without him. Also been statistically proven LeBron is the best scorer in the clutch over the last few years. I've read a few articles on it. So myth busted.

Any mistake he makes or if he's not 100% perfect they magnify it and crucify him. I don't see the same sort of thing with the golden child stars right now in D Rose and Kevin Durant. Case in point I was watching a game the other week and KD missed 2 shots in the last 30 secs of game time and OKC lost. Literally nothing was said. If that's LeBron it would be a story everywhere.

Led by that knob Skip Bayless who sensationalizes and overplays every little thing LeBron apparently does wrong as he would be a nobody if he didn't make such comments on the most talked about NBA star. Would fade into the distance. Has limited to zero knowledge on the actual game of basketball and is just a shock jock. On that turnover what should've been focused on just as much or more was East running a perfect play for a wide open 3 for Deron Williams who was 8-10 before that and he air balled it. Also Wade who fumbled an open layup to take the lead late on from a LeBron throw. What about Kobe chucking up a shot to seal the game and and also missing a cruical FT? Just an All-Star game so who really cares but just examples of how other things get overlooked.

Yep. He's a freak. My favourite player to watch.

That statline for LeBron of 27/8/7, etc is not that far out of the ordinary for him BUT what makes it so good is the crazy efficiency + he's doing it in career low minutes because Heat are blowing lots of teams out and he sits a lot. That's why his PER is through the roof.

Spot on Barnzy. Lebron & Wade on the fast break or turnover are just awesome to watch. So quick, so agile and so unselfish.

As for the fourth quarter, this is a great piece.

Lebron is definitely the best to watch, an amazing athlete (don't think people realise how incredible an athlete he is, you need to see these guys live to appreciate it) great defender and unselfish player. But until he gets it done in the biggest games ie NBA final, there will always be this question mark.

That article isn't exactly a glowing endorsement of his 4th quarter play? It merely points out not many are that good under 4th quarter pressure. I'd guess part of it would be many take unrealistic shots under great defensive pressure. Maybe James is right to pass off to those in better position.

They key being not many are that good under 4th quarter pressure . Lebron is not as bad as everyone makes out.

Also, with Bosh shooting 68% from assisted baskets, I would hazard a guess that a large majority of them come from Lebron.

He is not super clutch but he is not as bad as most make out. Some of the Cavs teams he carried were awful. Mo Williams was his best running mate and he is now 6th man on a Clippers team that may not win the West.

Rondo gets a triple double to down the Knicks.

Just a lazy 18 points, 17 assists and 20 boards.

Crazy stat line. One of those ones that will be remembered looking back on a career. How he got 20 rebs is what I want to know.

D Will also scored 57 points for the Nets breaking a team record. Even if it was against the Bobcats that's still impressive.

Bucks are better after that trade. GSW has to rely on Curry and Bogut now. Both extremely injury prone. Would've liked to have seen Bogut go to a contender for the last period of his career.

Curry is a lot better player than Ellis but has this ankle problem that always keeps him out.
It's hard to say at this point who has the better end of it...we won't know till next season really.
Bogut is out for the season.

Jennings/Ellis won't work imo.

This move positions the Warriors better in this season's upcoming draft lottery.

Yeah, on 2nd thought I don't mind the Warriors after the trade.

Curry
Thompson
Wright
Lee
Bogut

Again, depends massively on injuries.

GSW are tanking this year. They have a lottery protected pick this year. If it is 7 or under they keep it. 8 or up, it goes to the Jazz.

This draft is one of the strongest in 10 years so the plan is to get Curry, Bogut and drafted player for the next 5 years.

Also, expect former Sydney King Stephen Jackson to get dealt in the next few years.

Jennings and Ellis will be amazing to watch.

I never realised Golden State were in the Bay area. Bogut will enjoy living there far more than Milwaukee.

And in more news... D'Antoni has *un*surprisingly left the position of coach with the Knicks. Whether he fell onto his sword, or was pushed, it is something that was always going to happen.

What will Woodson do with that mob now?

Wasnt up to date with the picks situation.

Makes sense.

After 7 1/2 seasons, Nate McMillan will no longer be coaching the Blazers. Changes aplenty

Superman has said he will stay in Orlando... for now

Phil Jackson is being spruiked as the right man for the Knicks.

Geez, with Boguts move I may have to get back on-board the Warriors bandwagon... at least there will be lots of room!
