Nathan Foley/Colin Wisbey's profile of Nathan Foley [Merged]

My understanding is that he is still only a rookie listed player and thus cannot play in the seniors until he is added to the senior list.

I watched him play at the Burgers quite a lot last year. He has natural ball smarts and great pace but maybe lacks body size to really make it in the big time. But who knows? If he is given a chance then anything could happen.

Hope he gets a go in the Wizard Cup, he should be first of the rookies to get a go considering Thursfield is definitely not ready.
Only thing that may get in his way is all the kids we've drafted who also will be queueing up for a go.

I think an important factor is if Hilton will be put on the long term injury list.

Sorry, just noticed this thread.
This is some of the info I presented to Greg Miller back in season 2003 re Nathan Foley from the Geelong Falcons.

Just re-read Colin Wisbeys profile of Foley and he seemed to be spot on with his description of Nathan. Still cant say I've noticed his huge leap yet though.

Interesting read, esp the comments about his great pace, which has not really been evident. I suspected that his leg injuries from earlier this year were a problem, and this confirms it. Expect him to be a fair bit faster in 2006 if he recovers fully.

Also interesting is the comment about him possibly being a back pocket. I hope he is aware of this opportunity.
