Like Newman and Tuck, Axel is battling right now..
Was shown up against the Swans mids.

Has done nothing to change my mind on him.
Panics with the ball, his disposal and decision making is like a 1st gamer.
He missed a sitter yesterday and then panicked when getting a handball from jack, that almost cost us another goal.
He wouldn't even be an option as a trade now, its too late

He seems to have lost a yard. Understandable coming back from an achilles, but that was one of his strengths and without it he's struggling a little. Also like his fellow midfielders doesn't work any where near hard enough both ways. Seems to jog after many contests. He could be sore I don't know.

I actually thought he was pretty good yesterday, early on that is, but appeared to run out of gas quicker than you would have hoped.

For what? Tambling? His worth nothing now, should've traded him 2 years ago

Yep agree, I thought Tiges should have traded him 2 years ago as well. This is a business and the move should have been made. Could have got a handy pickup on return.. now no shot.

The young Swans mids were relentless. Mopped up every error and made us pay.
Tough, quick and skilful.
Particularly impressed by K Jack. He is still very underrated.

Like K3, I thought Foley was good, about our only unrelenting stand out until he finally succmbed. Got a vote from me.

Need to ease up a little remember Finals are played at the G AS Dermie said on Sen ,small ground so Tiger were not able to run lie they would at the G Sydney bottled it up as they do on THAT ground , move on big 5 weeks coming up :police:

Amazing how we watch the same game yet opinions on how Axel played differ from pretty good to diabolical. Mind you that happens for most of our team.
Personally I thought Axel did OK and is tracking nicely after such a long lay off and such a nasty injury.
So he missed a sitter in the first quarter but he always got stuck in and worked hard. We are a better team with him than without him

Frankly I think some opinions are based on backing up one's past opinions rather than the actual game at hand. I thought Foley was more than serviceable and also had 3 goal assists out of our 9 goals. Leading our tackle count per game this year too by a fair margin.

I am a foley fan - he was good but will improve

he needs a bit of fitness and confidence

he looked like he was going to go on one of his trademark runs today, take the ball in the centre stoppage, run and bounce, but the ball didn't bounce back into his hands

he is still good and getting the ball and giving if off, but what made him a star were those centre clearances and runs - hopefully not far away

Another good game by Axel with 24 disposals and all round hard running. Getting back close to his best after his injury lay off. A very important unsung part of our midfield

agree uk. nathan is a bit of a quiet achiever but he's coming along nicely. really adds to our midfield.
