Mykelti Lefau

If a lot of players are injury prone, it shows their S&C isn't good enough. Are they told how to land on foot when jumping? Do they stretch muscles properly? Are they taught to avoid certain ways to place arms and legs when tackling etc... Calling this luck is too hard to believe after so many injuries we have. Most players look gassed out late in the game at times.
Oh come on TF. All of our knee injuries were not the fault of the S&C.

Gibcus was pushed and land awkwardly.
Naismith did it by literally running and jarring his knee into the ground.
Young from memory didn’t even leave the ground.

Looks alright from what they showed.
Really hard to tell how badly the knee is injured even if he can walk off the ground. He grabbed his knee and was in significant pain as soon as it happened so we'd need to know if he heard a 'pop' when his knee hyperextended backwards as he landed. Fingers crossed for a good outcome but it looked a bit like the way Richo landed on his leg at the SCG in 1995 when Richo was running towards the boundary and trying to pull up.

I’ll be gutted if he’s got a serious knee. And I’m not easily gutted.

This has just been a wretched, cursed year like nothing else. Anyway, hoping.

Richo wasn't walking after that happened IIRC. Hit the fence and was carried off?

Kelts is made of steel so should be OK. Bloody hell, we're hearing oppo players (Naughton the latest) getting better news, how about us FFS!!

I’ve done an acl. You can still walk. The whole leg though is super unstable and it feels like the top part can slide sometimes out of position if you put sideways / twisting forces on it which is obviously not great.

The leg isn’t meant to bend the way lefau’s did - hopefully nothing ruptured.

The lad is in good form but it looks like the injury gods have taken him this week with his knee injury. We have to hope for the best for him but fear the worst.

I’m going with Hyperextension only.
We are so due for a less worse.

Hoping with a vengeance that it's a short-term injury. This bloke missing a year would be the worst part of the year so far (along with Gibcus). Every game he was becoming more and more a lock key forward for the next 8 years. Come on, bit of luck for the warrior from NZ.

If it’s an ACL as suspected that’s I think 8 in our AFL/VFL programs combined.
Bad luck or something more to it. Either way it’s an astonishing number that deserves some scrutiny.

He's tough, eats barb wire for brekky, don't be surprised if he plays next week. After all, the injury gods have to give us a break sooner or later."

You can still run. Just can't change direction.

Yeah on watching the footage it does look like a big hyperextension hopefully minimal damage. The guy is unbreakable if he walks away from this
