Mid season Draft

View attachment 22701

I thought you would’ve got that you pancake eating mother &#*%er!
I did get it.

One thing our VFL group have done well is really built the quality of the non AFL listed players. A few years ago we would have really young AFL players playing and no real support around them.
You can see it over the last few weeks when we have had 2/3 of the team as VFL listed players with only 7 AFL players available.
The VFL clubs have done a good job in the last couple of years as well with really just the Northern Bullants not competitive now. Williamstown, Southport, Werribee and Frankston in particular are all good teams this year and Coburg and Port Melbourne are not that far off.
Yep. Street, Garner, El Nour, Harris, Johnson, Brindley, Guiney, Wilson, Olden, is an excellent core. Newbies McCarthy and Collier looked good last week too.

Yer but it's harder to find a KPF who can really step up from the secondary leagues. I'm not watching the Skunks' VFL team but I presume that journo was saying he can play midfield in bursts and supposedly be an effective ground-ball player as well as good in the air. Lefau has come along but the likes of MRJ or Mansell are not much of an aerial threat.

Anyway, there's plenty of choices and we have options ... but need to find some gold or silver at least. Injuries have exposed the holes in the list.
We’re looking at teenagers tho ,
Scaife 19yo
Howe 18yo
They got all the time in the world to step up

Anyone know much about Max Hall at Box Hill. Have heard he is in the mix, his midfield numbers look really good in the VFL.

Club doesnt need El Nour right now weve got plenty of defenders ahead of him. Vlastuin, Broad, Short, Baker, Brown, Rioli, Young Millar, Trezise, Balta, Smith Grimes and Gibbus

Maybe rookie draft prospect at years end.

Buku Khamis is an interesting one to look at going into the trade season, I'm sure other clubs will be looking at him as a possible target.

Kid has some serious flexibility as a swingman the lad and some real athleticism and is s goer.

Max Hall (Two goals, 32 disposals, 12 marks, nine tackles, four inside 50s)

“This was arguably the best game of VFL footy that Max has played. His first half was exceptional and it was a really well-rounded game. I was really proud of what he was able to do. He had a really great pre-season and I think the challenge now for Max is to continue to make sure that gap of consistency is small and he can continue to grow that.”

Best player in the VFL at the moment is Ex Port Player now Southport Shark star Boyd Woodcock
He has them covered
👌

I refuse to even discuss who we might select because you can almost be guaranteed we will select someone nobody even knows about.. As we normally do...

However, I will say that we really need to have 3 selections. Perhaps it's time for a retiring player to finish at dream time in front of a big crowd and open up another spot like Grigg did.

Well, that's if we are: how do you know for sure? With Kosi not being selected, a KPF who can contend at the level would be a walk-up start.

MSD
Depends on ladder position
Final order determined after round 11
Can’t see us beating Brisbane or Essendon so I think it’s near certainty we”ll have pick 2.

you can add Luker Kenterfield, Subiaco to that list.

19yo 195/95 ruckman/CHF.

big, mobile, with signs of aggression.

only seen him play live once, but liked what I saw

And how many spots there are to fill in your team. How many are on LTI list or have retired during the season (like some of the concussion victims)
Some clubs won’t have any spare list spots

We'll end up with someone who we've never heard before, and the PRE servers will melt.

Then they'll see some youtube highlights, and will then claim that it's a great pick.
