Swan was trying to throw a few under the pack onto the top of Kings head.

No wonder Maxwell was having a cry, King have 5 on top and end up fixing up Lockyer, Maxwell had Hislop down, Tommy springs up and then fixes him up as well.

What is it with Hislop everyone does seem to think he is a tough guy is this just from his reputation and the opposition recognise this or is he really a nutter ?

Did anyone actually see the King hit on Didak?

Didak is a smart-ar*e, and been proven repeatedly to be dishonest.

King likes a scrap - but he is in your face about it, not really one for king-hits and cheap shots.

Wouldn't surprise me if Didak made it out to be worse than it was, or if King threw the second punch.

The most frustrating thing, and that nobody is metioning is that a holding the ball against Didak should have been paid, he had prior and then dropped it as soon as king got him. Followed by an 50m for the 3 weak pricks that jumped on him. Not Kings biggest fan, but he did the right thing in the play.

A punter on BigFooty says he saw it and King reacted with a flying elbow to the guts after Diddums gave King a shove from behind.

I saw it. Was behind Didak's back so I didn't see how hard King hit him, but it was a good sharp little blow.

Wouldn't have liked being on the end of it.

Maybe there was a bit of talk or a shove that provoked it, but I'm pretty sure King threw the first punch.

watching youtube, bout 1min16 harry obrien runs in. straight at king who is already covered by pies. hand in the face. looks very much like an eye gouge.
dane swan similar. lockyer was on top of king. swan falls on top and his hand goes straight to king face.

king certainly copped it, and didnt winge.

hmm in a real fight a bloke with a big mop of hair is easy meat. its simple control the head you control the body. in other words grab a handful in one hand and bash the living bejeezus out of him with the other, mark my words a very effective ploy.

if it becomes a real dog eat dog fight eyes nuts and knees are all good target areas. you cant fight with your nuts in your mouth you cant stand up with your knee stuffed and you certainly cant hurt anyone if you cant see.

The best part of that melee was Hislop rag dolling Maxwell. Maxwell had a look on his face like he just pumped the next door neighbours cat and got caught doing it!!!

Hislop one week

It seemed like 50% of players got fined for the melee
Swan got a bigger fine for a third melee offence.

The thing that irks me most is that Collingwood aren't that good.

Teams like Geelong and the Saints will have Captain Courageous' little whinge pinned up in the lockers and will invite him for a cup of tea if they meet in the finals..

Will see how Collingwood handle the finals pressure if they thought it was unfair to target a few of their prima donna's. Unfortunately that about where it ended for us.

they were rattled after that little tet r tate. Watch them gets smashed in the finals - they will sh!t themselves
