Inspired by the Cult of Robbo thread on BF I thought it might be fun to turn the screws on the press a little here.

16 weeks seems a little extreme for Joel's recent off the ball incident..

JOEL Selwood will turn his attention to a Round 17 return against Brisbane after the Cats decided not to appeal his four-month suspension.

Let's see where this goes and have some fun with it. Feel free to add your own as you see them..

Hutchy was on Footy Crapified 1-2 weeks ago arguing that Eade's time at the kennel was up as he was in his 11th year and no coach gets that long without a premiership. The others took him at his word but eventually it must have been a producer who got one of the panel members to make the correction that this was only Eade's seventh year.

"DISAPPOINTMENT: Ben Griffiths, a top 20 pick in 2009 and earmarked as a future key forward, continues to churn away at Coburg and has not managed a senior game."

Martin Blakes summation of Richmond this year, while not factually incorrect, SOMEWHAT misleading.

I read that today and just about fell off my chair. Does Martin Blake realise that Griffiths had a shoulder reconstruction and is only a couple of games back in his recovery. I would have ranked the form of Morton or the decision of Taylor to go home as much bigger disappointments this year.

Amazing - the guy has been injured and is just getting back to fitness through Coburg. Makes him sound like he's going nowhere "churning" away at Coburg.

And no mention of Cotchin anywhere in his summary. Surely his first serious crack at the AFL has shown all and sundry what a talent he is. And then he has the temerity to note that Tambling has showed some good early signs in the season for Adelaide - ??? he played one half decent game FFS.

I guess if you compare him to Kruezer who was back in the seniors after 2 VFL stints, then Griffo is churning away.

Aye, if your going to put out crap like this, it deserves to be slapped down, which is what is happening to poor old Martin in the 'comments' box.

I saw a large picture of Conca in front of the bus in yesterdays media somewhere (maybe a Tassie newspaper) naming him as Daniel Jackson.....maybe redheads all look the same to some people!

Martin Blake is a massive hack. He has worked at the Age forever and still makes cadet errors. He really goes out on a limb with his predictions of where teams will finish (currently 14th, predicted 14th).

Haha the comments box on the article is hilarious. It just boggles the mind how such amateurish hacks can get a gig at The Age.

The sad thing is that he has done so much more achievement wise than Wallace since the time they were both appointed in that same year that its easy to think Rocket has been there four more years than he has.

For Rocket to be sacked only two years after Wallace with probably less money is a bit harsh on Rocket. Dont want to even think of the BF posters getting into the Hawks over landing Terry and sticking them with Clarkson.

Can't remember when or who he was referring to (might have been either Saints or Bulldogs), but Bruce McAvaney was describing a team's patchy form as going through "dips and troughs" ! (which I would have thought was just one big hole - much like Bruce himself)

I missed it but I believe the Qld commentator Bill "Somebody" was recently the first to come up with a faux pas around Karmichael Hunt's name!
