Maurice Rioli Jnr

Struggled I thought too.

A lot of almost moments, fumbly, most of tackles didn’t stick and run down a few times.

With Dreamtime next week maybe he gets another go???
Yeah. Keep him in. Best way to learn.

Needs a limited slip diff - too slow off the mark with his wheels spinning like that. Is fine in the higher gears. Fine with his change of direction too. Just not getting off the mark quickly.

If Judson goes ok tomorrow, there might be a decision to make.

Having said that I guess one good game/one bad shouldn’t qualify as an exit.

Moju will be there next week.

Big game for him and the Rioli clan they wont drop him next week but if he has a quiet Dream Time game they might.

Yeah, looked a bit under his normal level but hopefully should be back to his best soon. Early days for MRJ, expect some inconsistency, hope he plays well in Dreamtime.

Effort was there, some fumbles, needs to get clean hands on the ball.
Still early days, will have his ups and downs while getting experience

Maurice’s development won’t be linear, he,ll have some quiet days.

Agree! Didn't get a lot of it, however, his pressure was good with 21 pressure acts. His last 2 games have been good so shouldn't drop him over one quiet game.

Stick with him for another week. His development will be alternating stints AFL / VFL for the next season or 2.

That’s the life of a small fwd… particularly a young one. Some weeks u get reward for effort - some you don’t. I thought his pressure was still good and caused the hawks backs to panic and rush their decision making/disposal.

He's a definite for Saturday's Dreamtime game.
Would love to see the Stackman join him but I don't think that's going to happen.

I think Junior has something in him but he's probably not ready for the big time. But as our other small forward options are limited, i think he stays for now.
