Like 2007, this year after pick 1, it becomes a bit of a lottery.

2007
1. Kreuzer

2. Cotchin
3. Masten
4. Morton

Gee I wish all lotteries were that difficult!

Yes, all the clubs involved in that lottery are happy with their result.

Tiges with Cotchin
Westcoast with Masten &
Dees with Morton.

A win, win, win for all.

Just to re-iterate, I was reticent about Cotchin over my concern regarding actually getting him onto the park, ie his repeated leg injuries. That concern has been borne out with Cotchin playing 25 of a possible 44 games.

I favoured Morton.

For the record,

Cotchin, 25 games, 423 disps, 53 tacks, 12 goals.
Masten, 28 games, 522 disps, 94 tacks, 6 gls.
Morton, 40 games, 825 disps, 59 tacks, 21 gls.

Of course Kreuzer, who I spent half the year in mourning over our loss of him to Carlton, has:
Kreuzer, 43 games, 515 disps, 116 tacks, 26 gls & 577 HOs.

If anything, those stats just show C.Morton is a terribly soft flanker. Of course there's nothing wrong with that if you can kick well which Morton can.

The final chapter of the Matthew Panos story? Just been delisted by the Bullies.

These one dimensional players are readily found out, it would seem the days of the lead, mark, goal types are well and truly over.

Who was the other one ? Panos and someone. The two guns that CC and FJ stupidly didn't draft because they were deadset surethings. Talia maybe ?

History hasn't been kind to these types, Richmond erred in picking up Limbach & Hughes, and there's also been Notte, Black, Dowler, Dennis-Lane and Grant. It'll be interesting to see if a guy like Shane Kersten can buck the trend, but it wouldn't surprise to see him go the way of the others or maybe even find a home in the backline.

Yep.

Thought he wasn't up to it as a junior.

a good call there phantom, i thought he'd do ok. but with hindsight he never grew any taller and the game has gone past this type of player.. you need more to your game now and it will be interesting if this type of player will ever be seen in the game again.. Temel was always no good though
