Lynch !!

I reckon a lot are making excuses for him.

Has been poor for a few weeks.

With so many guns out need the ones who are left to fire. He and Dusty have been very disappointing.

Agree with all that. Hard to admit that he might not quite be as good as we had hoped.

You name me one player in the entire comp who can outmark 3 opponents?
And name a key forward that gets the same poor delivery constantly

Think he's still playing on only one good leg. Noticed he's limping. Has probably lost speed from the PCL too. Can't find separation much at all, just attracts a crowd because they all know our dumb game plan by now. Just bomb it to Tom!

We have to play him with no JR, just makes it worse.

Need to play Balta alongside him.

We're playing disconnected footy atm.

I would hate to be Lynch in this system.

My respect for Jack has gone up immensely.

I agree with Zips on this one

our midfield lets him down
he can't out mark 3 defenders all the time

poor delivery

he needs Townsend!!

Hate to say it but last night he reminded me of Richard Lounder :(

Tony Lockett playing for us last night would’ve made a difference.
Just have a look at the way the ball is delivered.
The only time he got proper delivery was caddy went to the left and opened up the 50 for lynch to move into for a simple chest mark 40 out.
That only happened once.

Was more than that.He looked lost.

That’s coaching, not talent. Traditional marking talls haven’t influenced games since early 2000s.

Defenders work in well-drilled teams and know all the traditional leading patterns of a traditional tall. Every club has a gun traditional tall assistant coach.

Our unpredictable small setup forced the coaching group to be creative with the strengths of all 6 forwards. Now they’re just going back to their comfortable old school vision of a tall marking forward leading out of the goal square. And nobody is being captain hindsight here, several of us were vocal about this happening before we got him.

Does

Not

Work

In

Modern

Game

Hopefully Jack steps up and coaches the forward line because he is, and has been for several years, the smartest coach at the club.

He looked lost because he couldn’t believe how sh!t we are getting the pill inside 50 effectively.

Let’s say you’re 100% correct and our list lacks elite foot skills under pressure. We shouldn’t bemoan this weakness - we should accept it and plan around it. How do you kick goals with a list that is lacking elite kicking talent?

God I hope we don’t spend the next 5 years drafting soft traditional silky kickers to “fix” this.

Hardwick says all he has to do is bring the ball to ground. With the delivery he gets from our mids bombing it in, it's about all he can do.

What an absolute waste. ???
I feel like he should have got at least some contested marks last night. Naughton didnt have any trouble.

Lynch had a lot of opportunitites last night. Thought he was a very very poor.

He wasn't triple teamed every contest like some are making out, and besides, despite what Hardwick says we pay him big money to take conteested marks, not merely bring it to ground. Soldo could do that.

I'm still a huge fan of getting him to the club, but the rubber hand act has to go.

This x7936793676703. every time it's been kicked to him lately it's a long bomb to a contest.

The doggies midfield slaughtered ours last night, they owned the centre corridor. Plus given our non existent defensive pressure the doggies were able to regularly open us up through the middle with quick ball movement and many of Naughtons markets were two on two, not 3 on 1 that Lynch had. They had time to kick it to his advantage.

Reckon if Lynch played for the goggles last night he would have walked away with a bag.

Can’t blame Lynch, when he got out the back and had some space we ignored him and when we did kick it to him they were often slow high floating kicks that were easily defended.
