Lynch !!

Yet another irrelevant individual in the media trying to get their pound of flesh. Lynchpin must be quaking in his boots :rotfl1 :rotfl1

So Schwarz reckons he would grab Lynch by the throat. I don't recall Schwarz being a scary unit. He meekly went along with it when the bookies had him by the balls.

Think a few people are under-estimating the amount of 'go' in our Tom. He enjoys hurting people.

To paraphrase Chopper, he deserved a fine or two for bad taste.

Hopefully this is finally the moment the penny drops for him and he stops acting like a goose.
I can understand where your coming from, however I think Lynch has always played on the edge like his doing atm, maybe a few less tummy taps, he appears the type who doesn’t take any of the niggling crap, now if it costs him form or us goals , he needs to change, however if we continue to win and he is having a positive influence then so be it. Yep I’d like to see the tummy taps get the arse but atm it’s just a gold coin donation for Lynch.

was watching bits of the game today , was interesting the fall of the knees on to Lynch and the attempted little harmless knee from Collins as Lynch got up ( 3rd quarter when Lynch marks an goals, think there’s another incident around then too) I’ve got no doubt Collins gave as good as he got if not more

So Collins went down after Aarts tummy taped him and it’s nothing to see, am I missing something ?

So Aarts open hand brushed Collins and he went down like he was shot.

So Aarts according to Gerard was the ‘second shooter ‘ cleared. No case to answer. Must have got him in the sweet spot that Lynch got Collins earlier. But according to Lyon who saw it all was responsible for Collins being on his hunches.

Apology from either. Bet you not.

Lyon wanted a suspension cause he saw it all.
Gerard and Dwayne said a fine was appropriate.

Would like clarification as where our two stars stand in relation to further indiscretions this year.

Anyone see examples of elbows, shoves, blocks, scragging, etc. given to Lynch that the umpires missed? I don't condone what he did but these incidents don't happen in isolation. They happen when forwards feel they have no option but to deal with the unfair tactics themselves because the umpires don't help them.
The animosity between Lynch and his opponent often starts before the ball is even bounced, lots of bravado push and shove that the AFL could eliminate if they had the will, but they haven't. That's what they need to fix asap.

I'm tipping Aarts was given some leeway given it isn't something he is known to be doing.

What's wrong with assessing each incident on its merits? The second Lynch charge was pulled out of the AFL's arse.

Besides, Aarts missed a VFL premiership after busting a bloke's face apart. But this is all about "getting" Lynch.

Should have said he elbowed him to the neck.
Fine would be dropped.

I didn’t see Tom strike Witts. I saw Collins grabbing lynch and then witts jumping in and a whole lot of jumper pushing and shoving. Lynch could’ve given away a 50m cos he did push witts high (neck) but not a strike and not a fine either. I think he should be changing Parker’s nappies for the foreseeable future because he was undisciplined and pushing the boundaries. He should be better than those tactics - he is good enough.

When you play key forward, you get whacked. A lot. In the back of the head, around the ears, in the kidneys, in the ribs, on the arms. You get stops down the Achilles, kicks in the ankle. They step on your feet and squirrel grip your nuts.

Defenders do all these because they are inferior beings, crude ape men who can barely speak in sentences, read, or tie their own bootlaces.

One of my most satisfying moments on a footy field occurred in the last quarter of a game in which I took a lot of marks and got whacked each time. The last time, I turned around and dropped him with a beautiful short left hook to the jaw. I got sent off and abused by the opposition spectators, but we won easily and I smiled for the rest of the day.

I love Tom Lynch.

True. The angst on PRE around this is amazing - he belted a bloke off the ball. He should stop doing that.

Except they didn't get him. $1000 fine and he gets to play.
