To be fair his name is a little silly, River?Good luck to River, an 18 year old young man trying to get an AFL gig, and having to already contend with snide remarks.
I wouldnt worry about him, he will just go with the flow.To be fair his name is a little silly, River?

But if #Lolnorf get to split their pick 2 for possibly a 6 n 20ish. Doesn't that give them a crack at the Viking plus a Whitlock or Shanahan / Faull combo???? Or even another mid at 6 plus a KPF type at 20ish. How is that fixated only on Tauru?Lolnorf are fixated on one player, a bolter in Tauru.
The question I don’t know the answer to is: for a developing side is
Tauru better than say a Armstrong/Whitlock and a Shanahan/Faull combo.
I reckon being fixated on wanting Tauru they are missing the bigger picture and I don’t lolnorf are just 1 player away from being a top 8 side.
Tigers sell this message and hold #6, lolnorf don’t need it.

Reckon # are way more fixated on getting 2 picks in the first round rather than having just the one early pick that they can use on the Viking or anyone else they might think of. They might figure the Viking is an excellent chance of still being there at 6 anyway. Clubs all get a fair idea of what everyone is doing early by this time of year anyway plus the fact that Tauru is rated as a speculative bolter, there probably aren't many clubs that had him in their early options. If a Smelbourne were to jump in early # could easily consider a combo of Armstrong and Trainor with a 6 and 20 combo. # simply don't want to be stuck early in the draft where all the mid fielders are, they want KPP size choices. There's plenty of talented options available first round of this draft, but only if you have the picks available to do something with.Yes true but it limits their options if they only want to deal with an early pick where they hope Tauru is still on the board.
Eg I gather they wouldn’t trade #2 for GWS 3 first rounders because of this or for our #10 and #11 say.
I get they want Tauru plus but even with #6, what’s stopping Melb picking him at #5.
They want talls and we want mids. Even more reason not to trade for pick 2. Make em take the Viking with #2 if that is who they want. Just means more of the mid options at pick 6 are still there.Reckon # are way more fixated on getting 2 picks in the first round rather than having just the one early pick that they can use on the Viking or anyone else they might think of. # being happy to trade back from pick 2, could possibly get both a key forward Armstrong and a key defender Trainor out of the deal. Perhaps the Viking is worthy of a pick 2???? Perhaps he's not, but surely if they can get two quality KPP rather than just 1 quality KPP it's more than worth chasing. They want talls and we want mids. Even more reason not to trade for pick 2. Who,s to say anyway that Tauru is not a worthy pick two.
I get the logic its the same logic you apply to pick 1 except it is probably mids we are discussing.# being happy to trade back from pick 2, could possibly get both a key forward Armstrong and a key defender Trainor out of the deal.
