Little things that annoy you....

I agree with Evo, I'm pretty sure using "me" in that sentence is incorrect. It should almost certainly be "I".

Evo's example is correct but not relevant to this discussion where we are dealing with me, myself or I as the 'object' of the sentence NOT the 'subject' of the sentence.

Whats with the having to log on to the Australian and now the Herald Sun, is this a new cash grab, do you have to pay to read the news on line now, im not surprised at all if this is going to be the case im sure circulation of the papers would be down now with I Pads etc people wont be buying them so now your gonna have to pay to read them on line with a subscription i guess.

Theres no end to the money grab in this country.

Why is it a money grab ? Do you expect that anything on the Internet is available for free ?

If advertising doesn't pay for a site (how many times do you click on an ad) then subscription is the next obvious answer.

One thing that really annoys me is when people (my nextdoor neighbours) chainsaw, hammer and re-construct their backyard on a saturday morning. Can't they wait til lunchtime when normal people wake up on weekends? It sucks that my bedroom is right next to their fence. grrrrrr

Not to suggest that you are like this, but what annoys me is neighbours who have loud parties till 1.30am and then p!ss and moan when I want to mow the lawn at 9am on the weekend. Guess which activity is acceptable according to the EPA? Conduct your awesome gatherings at a licenced venue, superbly located to cater for drunken late night revellers and I might be a little more willing to mow the lawn in the afternoon.

People that wear sun glasses indoors.

Or at night. Or backwards. Or in their shirt like they just walked off the set of Miami Vice. On your eyes, on your forehead or in their case - that's it you w@nkers!

Never have parties or even loud music! These same neighbours will be out on their back porch late at night and have mates over all talking and laughing really loud no matter the day or time. Usually wouldnt be a pain for most but where my window is situation would only be a couple of metres away. Hard when you have work in the morning!

You can for single letters, s is a single letter not a word. eg - dot your i's and cross your t's.

So that leaflet was printed in Oxbridge?

I'll concede the point that different types of sport can be called sports in seperation, but the correct collective/group noun of sport is still sport.

Things that annoy me.......

People who start arguing with you about a point of difference that is not contrary to yours, but actually the correct side of a different argument, and continue to insist they are right and therefore you must be wrong - all the while ignoring your desperate pleas that you are actually no disagreeing with their viewpoint, but merely stating a separate viewpoint.

My wife is an absolute classic at this.

In my job I attend a lot of networking functions. People that come up and engage you in conversation and won't look you in the eye as they keep looking around to see who is more important to talk to. I find it so rude.
The only time I would ever do this is if Richo walked into the room ;D

Jaimee Rogers from Sportsbet. Models from the Home Girls section of the Picture magazine should be seen and not heard.

People who stand in line, get to the front and then START to decide what they want.

And the MCG carpark. It gets full at 30k.

Really?? I've seen a young chick so knowledgable about so many sports! Certainly beats Gary Davies and that old bald codger giving us the odds.

Ease up mate, one of my good friends was in the HG section and she has a masters degree in Civil Engineering.

She sounds lovely. What's her number? ;D

Maybe I should have said, I dislike cheesey blonde airheads with annoying voices.
