Liam McBean

I still find the McBean story a bit of a shame.

He came to us a time where we were really fixed in the selection and development of young players. And clearly he had issues with motivation and desire.

But I still don't think I've seen a young tall at VFL level (other than Jack Riewoldt) with so many tricks in the bag. And such elite skills.

Hopefully he can make his way on to a list with a bit of maturity. It would be really interesting to see what he could offer now.

Though it sounds like he still may not want it enough.

We still have Lyncho and Jack running around. Sorry no space left.
Insurance for the rest of 2022? If we want to play 2 talls up front and Jack / Tom go our injured then no much in the reserves to select from. Balta up front with Robbie back in in defence.... or Soldo/Nanak rest at FF. Just saying. No doubt the brains trust have a short list ready to go for the Wed. June 1st mid season draft

What i like about McBean is that he is a tall that can play small.

not long to go - a few weeks and will see. Brining in a 27yo tall who is doing very up forward whilst developing a 18-19yo that we "should" draft via the 2022 and/or 20203 drafts. 202cm 98kg 27yo. Now nearly 100kg - that would be the key difference from when he was last at Punt Road.

If we did resurrect the chosen one, it would fill the tall forward role but I sort of think mcbean’s a bit older than I was thinking.

But definitely need young key forward prodigy
