Liam McBean

Yep he needs to stay in the team for the remainder of the year to see what he can offer. (unless of course he's really bad - but that's not likely) Gotta stop this one week in next week out rubbish.

Whatever he does, it will be Hardwick's fault he didn't do more.
Because he hasn't been given more of a taste of AFL level to build some confidence there?

Imagine this in an article:

Extremist group PuntRoadEnd (aka PRE) has finally brought the Richmond selection committee to it's knees by including sensational youngster Liam McBean into this weekend's game against the Western Bulldogs.... :hihi

Actually, good point. I'll be curious as to his Gametime %. I'll have a guess at 50-60%.

im sure if his stats are low, and his gametime is low a few on here will be very quick to point it out.

Geez this band wagon is more crowded than a Delhi train.

Not so long ago it was just Lamby, Coburg and myself educating the unwashed and unworthy ;D

jesus only had 12 mates.

Knowing Richmond there is a possibility that they are only playing McBean to get him a bit of the profile before the end of the season so that they can shop him around at trade time.

This has happened previously to players who find themselves not being favourites of certain people and play an inordinate amount of VFL games compared to some in the senior side that perhaps should not be there given their consistently mediocre performances.

Who are some of the players you're referring to David. Interested to know how their careers panned out.

The last couple I can think of who were highly rated here and didn't get selected much for various reasons were Helbig and McDonough.

I'm sure David has many concrete examples of players treated that way at Richmond who went on to have stellar careers at other clubs.

Over to you David C!!!
